Why not add a countdown?

I think we all know these assholes who logs off when they´re in PvP or getting shot

My idea is:

Why not add a countdown? Like 5 or 10 sec where you cant do anything and if you move the countdown will abort!

Yep. This system was implemented once, I dont know why it got removed.

It was a good idea, and it was working perfectly

EDIT : Its was not really a countdown, but your body kept in the server for 5 seconds after you disconnect.

Which gives enough time to kill the bastard

They're trying it, but apparently getting past 5 seconds is difficult with the Arma II Engine (I think this mod passed up the possibilities of this engine about a month ago, and it's been the Herculean effort of the dev team that's dragged it's corpse this far).

Yeah i like this idea. would make a lot of sense and prevent the people who quit during firefights.

Though it would not prevent people form hopping servers to collect gear.

I agree and have posted before everyone is like blah blah blah and dont want one even though it would stop lots of bs
