Moved to middle of nowhere, what do I do?

I was moved by someone (hacker, maybe?) from my spawn point to a point in the middle of nowhere. There are hills, but no grasses or trees in any direction. What do I do? I can't respawn anymore.

You appear to have been moved beyond the edge of the map. There's not much that you can do at this point other than wait it out and sigh.

Wait it out? Meaning I have to stand here logged in until my character dies of exposure?

Try log out log in. Fixed it for me. Or was it the respawn that fixed it? hmmm.

Actually, THERE is something you can do. Do you have in-game map? If you do, open it and shift+click to Kamenka, from there you will find out that you're located way west out of Chernarus' map. If you don't have any map, find out where's north by looking at the sky in night time. You can Youtube it about how to do it, and head east if you find it. Sometimes it's only 9 km, but sometimes it's 30 km away from civilization.

What happened was this : I respawned after getting a broken leg from a ladder glitch. I climbed to the top of a ladder, got on top of the building, and my leg immediately broke. I figured, "I only have a soda can & a hatchet, I'll just respawn."

Except right after I respawned, next to the coast, I got moved to the middle of nowhere. Just blank hills, no grass, trees, etc.

I decided to pick a direction and run in it. Eventually I got to a hilltop, from that hilltop I saw a dark line along the ground barely at the end of my sightline. So, since it was something different, I ran in that direction. Eventually I saw trees, and ran through them for quite some time. Eventually I came to the coast, saw a couple bridges and a road, followed the road into town to get eaten by zombies because I had flashing red food & water displays and no desire to try to fix it when I could just respawn somewhere else... hopefully. I respawned, and it spawned me near Kamenka, and then I was moved again. I saw the same bridges before I was moved to the middle of nowhere.

Not sure I want to play again until this crap is definitively fixed.

The mod is alpha, don't complain about bugs

The next patch will fix this, by moving people from the out of bounds areas to the beach when they relog (there have been a few attempts but they have not worked so far)
