Kaffarov37 125 Posted July 31, 2012 So I was crawling through a farm. I saw a zombie come up. I went prone and avoided detection. I then crawled away when all of the sudden the zombie turned around and bare handed broke my legs with one hit. I used up my other 2 morphine ejectors on two similar occasions. One when I was crawling down a deer stand and when i touched the bottom, my legs broke. Another when I got hit by another zombie. If my legs break from a VERY high fall (not a 3 meter drop) or I get shot in the legs then that's alright I guess. I think putting morphine in the starter kit when you re spawn is a good idea, just one stick.Must drink more milk.
Jaeg3r 2 Posted July 31, 2012 I completely agree man, and hell...I'm not against removing the idea that zombies break your legs at all....its just stupid, get rid of it!
BlksnshN 127 Posted July 31, 2012 I went up to help a guy that had a broken leg from the "Need medical assistance thread". As soon as I spawned in a zombie smacks me and breaks my leg. lol.

Obsolescence 129 Posted July 31, 2012 I've had the suspicion lately that zombies are much more likely to break your leg on hit when your crawling. Permitted, most of the time I get hit I'm crawling so it could be a false positive, but that's my working theory at the moment.

Dingus (DayZ) 429 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) I feel that if those chances to frustrate the piss out of you were not present, the zombies would not pose the same kind of threat. Their standard attacks are relatively weak. It's those dice rolls that are killer, and since you can't predict what that die will land on, you tend to want to avoid the roll altogether.I do not agree 100% with how zombies were implemented in Day Z, and we've had a buffet of threads discussing their implementation down to the finest of details. As things are now though, INFEKTED provide an invaluable requirement of caution from players, particularly those alone.Of course, with enough buildings around, you can chance it and just run like crazy losing them in and around them. Oh, and hills too. Edited July 31, 2012 by Dingus
