squid ward 1 Posted July 30, 2012 So, I finally got a nice setup going AK (with like 9 mags), map, matches, PDW (4 mags), 6-7 cooked meat, 5 beans, alice pack, 8 sodas etc etc. Made my way to NW Airfeild hoping to find a sniper rifle of some sort and went into the Air trafic controller building with about 5-6 zombies chasing me in. I then climb up the first set of stairs and look down to see that the zombies are just entering through the door. As I start to shoot them, one of them instantly teleports right on top of me and proceeds to smack me in the face. With one hit I am knocked to the ground unconscious. After that the zombies then start eating me and I die. I've been playing this game for about 3 weeks, and with the numerous deaths I've had (somwhere around 30) I'd say 7/10 of my deaths happen because a zombie glitches out and somehow manages to smack me when he shouldn't have been able to. Disgraced 1123 Posted July 30, 2012 What's weird is that you even get used to that. Going into that situation, I move rapidly up the stairs. They also hit you through then floor of the landing in some places. In the tower there, I immediately go to the upstairs room and hit them as they come up the stairs at the far corner of the room. WisdomSnork 42 Posted July 30, 2012 Dying more often is very helpful in this game cause it reminds you...It's not WoW, there are no levels, and aside from survival equipment... gear hardly matters.Gotta live. I know I got hit by one of those heavy army zombies and got knocked the fuck out and then more of them came and devoured me. WisdomSnork 42 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) I shoot at zombies sometimes and given it's usually nearby, I'll go for the chest to get the fastest most sure kill. So that's three-ish bullets.I also often spend time hunting players and given my distrust of the lag/hit registry.. I tend to fire 5-10 shots at center mass of a player before I see them fall. Again this is with the L85a2, not the most powerful rifle.I know I could be doing better, but I'll never feel settled without having much more ammo than I'll need on me. Zombies have way too much health now.I like zombies being resilient to everything but head shots and immune to pain, it's just the latency/erratic zombie movements/animations make it a little too difficult to go for head shots save for indoors/walking zeds.
