anyone cant see me, but can see name and range.

This should be one of the major (if not the most) important hotfix the devs should be working on right now. Not only can you abuse and grief, it's not playable for the bugged players AND its not *playable* for the friends of those bugged players (me) because i cannot see them and i'd have to check where he is all the time (playing alone is boring meh, so therefore I cannot have fun in this game because of a bug that doesn't affect me :(.

same here, problems began at 8:30 pm GMT+1, disconnected from one server, joined another, found myself on ladders of deer stand I checked 10 minutes before I DC'd, tried switching servers to repair this problem and finally I was off the ladders but invisible, still can't correct this issue.

Help? :D

Just checked by re spawning and it is still bugged, nothing done in the past 12 hours has fixed anything. just an update to let ya know its still happening.

Still bugged for me too, logged in and managed to lure a bandit over to my invisible body by taking shots above him, he killed me and I still respawn invisible...

I know my post will not change the issue but I'm reporting about the same issue here. My friends can't see me, I can't see me, my enemies can't see me. Only zombies can see me but that's pretty much all about it. Started to happen right after the latest update.

Hopefully there will be a fix for this soon!

I had a similar experience, I was playing on (UK 6, I think). My mate and I got killed by an invisible player, the only reason we knew he was there is because we shot randomly an blood started poring from thin air.

I am now visible with the correct skin. I'm honestly not too sure what I did so I will post a list of things I tried before logging in.

-Re-downloaded 1.5.8.4 from the Sweden mirror (shouldn't have made a difference)

-Launched the game without the mod

-Relaunched the game with "-mod=@dayz" (no quotes) Keep in mind the -nosplash thing is not there.

I don't know if this will help anyone, or if I just fluked out and got lucky.

It appears that if you kill someone and become a bandit. You WILL get the bandit skin.

I have confirmed the fix posted above. it worked for me at least.

Steps i took:

Delete all addon files

download all of them again from the sweeden server/mirror

launch the game without the dayZ mod (remove the -mod@dayz thing)

then relaunch the game with the mod.

give it a try and see if it works for u too, goodluck!

I had this problem last night, its the fact that the server needs the new HIVE files (IIRC)

Get your server to get them, hopefully that will fix it.

The same thing is happening to me.

Date/Time: 05/24/2012 around 9AM EST

What happened: I logged out last night (05/23/2012) north of Balota airstrip on the Bashurverse server after changing back into a survivor. I logged back on the next morning on the Dallas 3 server wearing what appeared to be a green bandit outfit. I later found out I was completely invisible when I met up with a friend.

Where you were: North of Balota airstrip

What you were doing: Killing boars / Scavenging for loot at the airstrip

*Current installed version: 1.5.8.4

*Server(s) you were on: Bashurverse / Dallas 3

*Your system specs: E8400 @ 4.2ghz / 4 gigs of RAM / Ati 6870 / Windows 7 64bit

*Timeline of events before/after error:

5/23/2012 - 9PM EST Scavenging for loot near Balota airstrip on the Bashurverse server

5/23/2012 - 10PM EST Logged out North of the airstrip tower after changing into a survivor.

5/24/2012 - 8AM EST Logged onto Dallas 3 the next morning with what appeared to be a green bandit skin.

Met with a friend, found out I was completely invisible.

same thing here, I logged on the server yesterday, and found myself in a strange desert storm skin. I died and I respawned exactly with the same problem. Please fix this!

p.s. also I noticed that I'm only spawning in Kamenka, how can that be?

A couple of guys reported this last night when I was playing on SE5, and even more worryingly, they reported being able to see my marker and how far away I was. I wasn't invisible myself, and they started reporting this as I was raiding the NE airfield, one reporting that I was 5000 metres away, the other that I was 9000.

What you're going to need to do, is go and kill someone. You'll get a bandit skin. From now on you SHOULD be visible with a bandit skin, then when you die, you should have the survivor skin.
