Can you join DayZ using IP before server is under whitelisted IP?

Recommended Posts

I'm setting up a DayZ server. It's approved and everything but I wanted to try to get it running before I ship the box off to the datacenter. I set the IP in the config to the LAN IP. I copied over the Addons and Dta folders from Arma2. Set everything up according the instructions but when I try to join I just get the black screen that says "Waiting For Host" and the console window spams Mission Dayz read from bank. Is this because it's not running under the whitelisted IP address? Or did I do something wrong? Also, in the bat file it has -name=LocationID. Am I supposed to leave that like that? I didn't see anything in the instructions about changing that.

Thanks!

It won't be connected to the Hive if it isn't coming from the whitelisted IP. Not connected to a hive means it wont work properly if at all.

Ok I think I got it to work. Somehow I managed the glance over the part where I download the actual DayZ mod files  Now I can connect and it loads and then it freezes on the Loading screen with the bar. I'm guessing that's because it's trying to contact the hive. Now I wish I could get the r4z0r49 restart script to work. It crashes right away saying 100000 was unexcepted at this time. I'm guessing that number is from the maxbytesize=100000 for the size of scripts.log before rotation. Does anyone have any idea why it would be throwing that?
