That's a good way to meet new survivors to play with I found.

1) Get in treeline

2) Wait for survivor

3) Shoot and break survivors legs

4) Move away and flank survivor

5) Pretend like it wasn't you who shot him and offer to heal him up

6) You got a new best friend!

Ya, I'm a bit of a sadistic asshole too at times. :3
