What the hell happened to night servers?

I agree but I do know the problem with night servers - the only people who play them are tooled upto the nines with military grade weapons and NV. There's no point playing them unless you are heavily armed and have night vision yourself or you are just fodder. I agree this is purely because there's so many options now instead of players being forced to play night.

Haha I play at night without Nv's and an military gear and it's still great. Only time you NEED NV's is when you get stuck with no moon. Otherwise with a chemlight popped its quite easy to see in your general vicinity.

If night servers had SLIGHTLY more visibility, ie I can see my hand in front of my face, I would play them even with bad gear. The fact that it is almost pitch black turns people off. You should be able to see X meters in front of you regardless of accessories you have. Flashlight would extend that in a single direction X yards and night vision gives you "normal" vision. This is the most reasonable idea to me
