Understanding an "Alpha"

A lot of fellow DayZ players complain about how its so buggy and how its so this and that.

Please get over it.

An alpha is a testing stage and not a bug free 100% game.

A software release is the distribution of software code, documentation, and support materials. The software release life cycle is composed of discrete phases that describe the software's maturity as it advances from planning and development to release and support phases.

Please understand that this game is an alpha

Most of the bugs that occur are not DayZ related Rocket cant control them, They are Arma 2 related.

Im sure im not the first to say this but really guys. Stop bitching if you could do something about it why dont you do it constructively?

Maybe take i this and a few others can too.

Saying that it's an Alpha is just an excuse. We need to report all bugs and ask the devs to fix them as soon as possible.

The bad thing is that some bugs can't be fixed cause it's just a mod!

Currently they are adding features. That is the definition of an alpha.

Compare it to someone spinning plates. At the moment they are seeing what other plates they can add, chopping and changing the system so they can efficiently spin more plates, without the whole thing falling and shattering on the floor.

Once they have got the plates spinning regularly they can focus on ironing out the bugs and polishing.
