ISVenom 0 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) Required:* Server this happened on: US126* Time that it happened including your timezone: ~2:00am EST* What happened during the incident: So here's the situation: Two guys sitting on the top of the highest building in cherno sniping, Chelios_cod4 & [TSS] killer 555. As we approach Cherno one of our guys spots them. We set up to take shots at them and they immediately turn and start firing on us. One of our guys gets killed whos hiding in a bush. We pull back and reposition to get a better angle on them, I start laying down sniper fire and manage to push them behind the building but I've got eyes on the only ladder down. Every time one of them hits the corner they are hiding behind trying to get eyes on us I lay down fire trying to take them out. One of my squad mates moves into another position and gets eyes right on the building. About a minute later he says "I see him in up top, wait...what the f*ck he just ran off the edge.... but wait he didnt die, was that a bug or something? It almost looked like he teleported or something maybe? He was looking straight down and then just zipped down like he fell but didn't die." Hmmm interesting....Not but 2 minutes later, mind you we are 800 meters away from the building and have eyes on all approaches into our position, one of my guys says, "f*ck Im down!", then I start getting lit up, as I'm running to the side my crosshairs swipe across him and I get his name, success, why? Because I'm frapsing the whole thing. The player that shot us was Chelios_cod4. Below are a few screens, I have the video too if its necessary, I'm sure I'll end up compressing it and uploading it anyway. Essentially he managed to get down the building past the only ladder which we had covered by multiple people, he then managed to egress from the city and make the over 1000m trip to us in under a few minutes and managed to not only do that but get right behind me 10 feet tops with another player looking right in that direction and a road and zombies also being in that direction without making a single sound. Right. Many a time I haven't seen my friend go up or down a ladder; he'll usually stand in the spot he got onto the ladder at or he'll just disappear completely.Could you by any chance upload the video and post a link in your OP? ISVenom 0 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) I understand what you're saying with the ladder issue, however there was no way for either of them to get to the ladder from behind the top box on the building to the ladder without me sniping them, there was too much distance between him & the ladder to rush for it & make it to the ladder without me sniping him or atleast knowing he went down it.And yes I'll try to get the video compressed & uploaded asap.For illustration purposes, heres what it looks like: Also not to mention we had another squad mate closer to cherno with eyes on the ladder the entire time. tandwan 250 Posted July 30, 2012 Need video proof or nothing will come of it. Pictures can be photo shopped and thus are not reliable. If there's no video they will do nothing. _Gunslinger_ 46 Posted July 30, 2012 The situation sounds crazy but not entirely impossible; zipping down the ladder may have been desynch, and covering 1km in a couple of minutes is possible. Video will provide answers on whether the time between spotting him on the ladder and appearing behind you are unreasonable.FYI; players will have the 'sniper' tag whenever they wear a ghillie suit, and 'rifleman' when wearing camo clothing, regardless of armament.
