D Apollo S 0 Posted July 30, 2012 Hey guys.So I bought the game a couple months ago and downloaded DayZ on my laptop, But when I began playing, the game was VERY slow. Obviously my laptop just isnt powerful enough to run the game smoothly.Does anyone have any suggestions as to what kin of PC or Laptop I could buy for a reasonable price that would run the smoothly? Mad_Vengeance (DayZ) 31 Posted July 30, 2012 You need a powerful CPU over powerful graphics.I recommend an Intel Core I5 2400 or greater. Any 2xxx 3xxx I7And a Radeon 5770 or greater, Nvidia 550Ti or greater. And 4gb ram ddr3.

AluCaRdBe 32 Posted July 30, 2012 just change the graphics card not a computer...He has a laptop, gl changing a GPU on a laptop. What u basicly need is a Nehalem i5 or more ( so basicly any i5/i7 will do) a reasonable graphics card( GTX 460M at least) and 6-8gig ram depending if the architecture allows dual(or quad)/tripple channel memory.U can do with less but i suggest u get something like that, its the best price/performance u can get atm

zenatsu (DayZ) 96 Posted July 30, 2012 (edited) As stated, its better to build (or buy a prebuilt) desktop if you mainly game from home.Save the lappy for traveling and lightweight use.edit: Uh, a dream machine? ~1.3kTo run DayZ - about 500 or so.To run all the latest games - about 700-800 or so.The most expensive components you will be buying is the motherboard, and the processor (CPU). Ram is dirt cheap, and GPU's are mediocre. If you are not, and do not know anyone who is tech savy (who could build you a computer if you bought him a beer). Buy a prebuilt.
