So me and a friend were looting Cherno. I was on overwatch on the silos while my my comrade was working towards the fire station. As he worked through industrial he took fire from a dude toting a 1866. The guy decided to get crafty and try to get my buddy from a roof. I put several rounds into him from my L85 and then it happened.....DC (dull). So i watch the area to wait for him to log back in but never see him again.

After that I am repositioning and I get whacked once maybe twice. Broken bones bleeding and still taking fire I bandage, morphine and eat food. My blood is at 4700 vision blurry but I take him on. Little known fact your vision through thermal sights is not blurry ;). Finally I see him on the hill behind Cherno. I put several rounds on him and suppress but need to be mindful of ammo. I scare him out of his cover and moves up the hill to get a better angle on me. I reposition and send a couple more rounds. Then it happens he gets me. Having so little blood I couldnt endure another hit and I go down.

I respawn quickly and in Prigorodky. Hitting the triple barns I find a 1866 and 15 rounds. I head in a full run. My buddy is on overwatch making sure no one loots my body but I know this guy is playing that game. I sprint up the side of the hill through the trees and the fields come into view. Then I see him in the field...standing no less watching Cherno. I start belly crawling in to get a nice close shot. I get about 60 meters out and he starts firing into town again. I stand and put 3 rounds into his prone body with the 1866. As I fire the fourth round it happens again............DC!

So my message to this little coward is this. I was man enough to stand and fight. I was smart enough to come and find you after. Next time buck up and take what you deserve. FYI I got all my gear back and barely missed a beat from your little escapade. Lastly I also know who you are. Don't ever show up on my server again or I will kick you so fast your head will spin. We have no place for gear protecting cowards in our game space.

I guess we are still a long ways from correcting the disco cowards.

Umm today a dude (I think a teleporter hacker) showed up on my 6 and drilled me with a shotgun. I was dead in 2 hits. How the hell was that guy taking so many hits?

why didn't you shoot him in the head the second time? sounds like he was a sitting duck and didn't know you were there.

I was shooting at him from behind and he was prone. Frankly what I had on him should have been headshots. But in the same sense he should have been able to take 3 rounds from the 1866 regardless of location. Hindsight being 20/20 I should have moved in a bit more on him but didnt want to blow the chance to get him laying still.

Its hard to break out of the center mass mentality. Every thing I have ever trained with regards to fire control dictates center mass. This needing 4-6 rounds from a L85 (or any weapon for that matter) is rather disappointing.

from that range, you gotta treat it like any other FPS and aim for the head. Also, make sure you ADS for every shot (except frantic hipfire situations obviously). A lot of aiming problems people seem to have are because they don't ADS.

Wait until the Alt-F4ing dumbfuck takes your .50 cal sniper rifle then logs out after you've nearly killed him from two feet away with an AKM.
