What happened here?

A couple friends and I were playing, I was clearing out an apartment building in Cherno, near the NW hospital.

After going through the building I started to head out, and found an M4whatever Silence at the bottom of the steps. Picked it up with ammo etc.

One of my friends was currently without a gun, and they were both close so they started heading to me.

I started hearing gunfire to my right, probably the next apartment over, then footsteps. I was watching the doorway preparing to shoot anyone coming in to protect the weapon.

Then I got shot from somewhere, I never saw the guy.

My friends got there, didn't see anyone. I proceeded to respawn. But I loaded in with a "different save" which seems to happen on some servers, like having a second character. After looking around for a few seconds, trying to figure out where I was(I'd never been wherever I spawned) I was teleported to where I just died.

Went inside, and we messed around for a bit, looking for the guy who shot me. Then we started to head out and I got shot again by someone I couldn't see. Then both my friends were killed as well. One of them put 5-10 shots in the person with an AK but still died. Whoever he shot never died.

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I don't remember the server name but could look it up on the recording. Was it just a bug, or was an admin being an ass? Or some hacker able to teleport people around etc.

Admins don't have the ability to do those things, unless they are hacking like a normal hacker would. So it was a hacker :/

You should try looking around once in a while, there's an apartment behind you and it opens out on to a sort of very short balcony. Your back was completely exposed.

So there's a second entrance to those apartment buildings?

I searched the whole thing a few minutes prior to this video, the only other way out is the rooftop. That I have seen anyways.

The one I was in was the one in the middle if you're ever there. There's no rooms except a couple flights of stairs up, so I would have seen him come down the steps. There was wall behind me, that's it.

No not an entrance exactly, but if I'm remembering right all those apartment rooms have a sort of really short balcony that's the full height of a door. And also a window.

I figured you were on the middle floor because the door on your left was non-enterable, there should have been an open apartment right behind you and anyone looking in through the window/balcony would have seen you. Judging from the blood spray the shot came from behind you.

I'm highlighting what happened after this video too, will post when they are done. It shows us going onto the roof then also coming down. There's some huge explosion sound coming from deeper in Cherno as well, which surprised us all. So there's some odd stuff going on besides what happens to us.

But yeah, each floor seems to have a balcony, though not very long. Just something you can walk out on and see the street etc.

Don't they have a bugged wall/room. I know I've run through the wall into a small closet size room a couple times. Maybe the person was hiding in there.

Who the hell knows. I died 2mins after spawning in this morning, I was just running through a field and dropped dead.

...and no, I wasn't sniped, I apparently just had a heart attack that shattered my legs and killed me. I can't wait for the Standalone and decreased number of pathetic childish douchbags... err... hackers(for lack of a actual description).

I couldn't help notice that you were completely vulnerable to a shot from the hospital roof.

I don't think the teleporting on spawn had anything to do with a hacker, just a bug with the hive atm, I've seen it before. As for who you were shot by and where from, could have been the hospital roof or some one who ghosted behind you. There is also the possibility that there was another group already there and some one was already on the top floor, did you have the whole building secured?

I just think too many people cry hacker when the answer is completely obvious. Back when sidechat was enabled, I used to kill a lot of people who were completely oblivious only to see them cry hacker in global.

I wasn't referring to the OP, I was referring to "most people." The reflexive assumption is that a hacker done it.

Also in the second video his buddy who "put 6 shots into the guy" cries hacker immediately, when the guy obviously just walked right through the front door, killed the OP, and subsequently killed his 2 buddies.

Also the OP's group ran a clinic on how NOT to play the game, huddled together spending WAY too much time in wide open spaces, etc. No doubt the enemy used 3rd person to look "around" the doorway and saw them on the roof, and then again at the entrance to the building the OP was in. (why I hate 3rd person, but that's another thread)
