Problems Taking Meat From Gutted Animals

I'm having problems hunting. Animals larger than a rabbit (no problems with rabbit/chicken) when gutted produce no meat. Is this a new bug with the latest patch, or am I doing it wrong? This problem for me is affecting boars, sheep, goat and cows.

Yes... I have been having a problem... however if you just keep moving around... and messing with it... it will allow it !

its some sort of desync issue as of late. you need to wait around 1min then the meat can be looted.

Ok, this makes sense, because I'm noticing about a 50/50 chance of looting the meat off the body right away. I won't sit around an animal carcass for a minute, all out in the open and defenseless.

Or what's worse, is shooting the pig... running up to it to gut it... and it disappears. >.>
