Rushing to the Patches is Mad

Recommended Posts

I think we should all just calm down a bit when it comes to DayZ and ARMA2 patches, they are released like every hour and it just means players can't connect to servers because its all mismatched. Every time there is an update everyone just totally spazzes out, crashes the server and then proceed to rape the forum with bugs and complaints.

Firstly the arma2 one is a beta and you don't even know if its going to work or break what you already think is working. Why not leave it until they add something significant that actually makes a difference to you?

Secondly of course, the dayz is alpha, which means its already not even 10% of what it could be (I'm guessing) who knows how many versions until its complete.

TLDR If it ain't broke, don't fix it. So I say, hold off on the crazy patching and pick a date every 2 weeks, or 1 day a month and do all your updating then. At least it would allow some people to get in and have a game with a version that worked, or at least provided enough enjoyment not to moan about it.

Thanks

It's called testing and giving feedback.

It's called testing and giving feedback.

A lot of people don't give feedback at all, they just complain or shoot other people down for their opinions. A lot just get angry/upset and leave. Its like the players shooting each other for their beans, that mentality has carried over to the forum in some ways.
