jay1_1 0 Posted July 29, 2012 sence the respawn button was removed can you guys disable the f4 key from being used and put a 5 to 10 second delay on the abort buttonby the time someone hits esc and aborts out may take 20 seconds to leave game
mynaameisreed 38 Posted July 29, 2012 Alt-F4 runs through Windows not the Arma 2 program itself.
spawn (DayZ) 217 Posted July 29, 2012 maybe removing the ALT F4 button is the right wording. but making is so once you leave the game in any way or any reason your character will stay in game for 20 seconds or so more. This means when people log out of the game they have to run to a place they think will be safe. just like real life when going to sleep
Element47 2480 Posted July 29, 2012 you can disable alt-f4. i havent coded it myself, but i know you can handle both keyboard events (OnKeyDown method) and application events in a way, so that the app wont close open the alt-f4 trigger.
Tweakie 199 Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) Try keeping up to date...and read the patch notes. This is a suggestion that is about 3 months old.http://dayzmod.com/f...rolling-update/" 5 second timeout on disconnect is NOT implemented, as the engine is preventing it currently" Edited July 29, 2012 by Tweakie
