The Lone Gunman

Here was I, on a fresh life, after the camp my group was using was raided and being log killed (as in, being killed while logging inside the game on our own camp). My new loadout consisted of a lee enfield 5 clips the basic survivor gear that can be found anywhere (axes, beans and sodas), when I hear the first gunshots coming from electro. Being a veteran I was obviously running along the treeline, avoiding the main road so as to avoid zombies and players alike, sighting the gas station west of electro I find that there are zombies spawned around it and conveniently someone shooting at them right in the middle of the post. It was a nobrainer, his winchester could not match my lee enfield at that distance and my stealth, I crawled up near a fence, positioned myself near a bush and shot, his legs were hit, he managed to sprint for around 10m before falling down and being slain for good. His loot had a makarov, more beans (yum yum) and some basic survivor gear that helped me complete mine (matches and compass), he was my first kill during that life, including zombies.

I decided I had enough to go deeper into the continent, more specifically the Novy Sobor-Mogilevka route, and scavenge the Electro Power Pland before going on that so frequented route.

Approaching the Power Plant from the north so as to minimize the risks from being sniped someone starts shooting my way, it was a HEAVY duty sniper, the first thing I noticed was how powerful the shots were and the fact that he gave me a chance to run by missing, I walk in zig-zag while sprinting and finally hit the treeline, but not before someone else starts shooting my way, with what seemed to be an AKS and I sight him by looking behind myself in the dirt road near the northeastern area of the Power Plant.

They shot at me, they were probably two and I could not let them survive, they had to die, I go north, cross the road that leads to mogilevka and go to the top of the hill in which base they were probably shooting from, from there I start my prowl, almost 5 minutes after starting it I sight the first one of them, wearing civilian clothing, easy to distinguish, I was tempted to shoot, but I did not have the position of his friend yet, I continue going down, making sure they dont see me, the guy on civilian clothing constantly moving around while crouching or prowling, until I finally sight the other bandit, wearing a ghillie suit crawling around to get a better position, he gets out of my sight by going behind a tree. I decide I will continue to go further down, by now only 200 meters separated us, and then I see a third person, another man wearing civilian clothing, with what seems to be a winchester and an alice pack, the man in ghillie crouches near a tree, making me able to see him, he has a BIG SODDING GUN, a freaking strong sniper, he is the priority target for sure, the other man with an ak is still to his left, crouching near a bush and the guy with the winchester is in front of the sniper, but still in my sight, there doesnt seem to be anyone else, I crawl further near my prey, we are at around 100m distance. The man with an AKS goes to the other side of the bush, I stand up, hit the sniper's head, he dies instantly, proceed to shoot the the man with an winchester and he seems to die, the man with the ak is gone, probably logged off or ran away, I wait for some time, the man with the winchester didn't die, or his friend with the AKS actually crawled near his body, hid it and was shot to death by my Enfield, I wait a good 4-5 minutes, check the surroundings, and proceed to loot the sniper.

He has all the game's gear, except the ultra advanced utilities, such as Night Vision, GPS and the Radio, but specially he has a gun, the fabled M107 the Anti-Material Rifle, the other corpse apparently disappears inside the ground, leaving me only the sniper's loot, I grab all the supplies I deem worthy, such as beans and water supplies, and bug off north as fast as I can.

After passing by mogilevka I notice something unusual, there is a crashed helo in the field between novy sobor and mogilevka, getting near it spawns some zombies, which I wouldn't be able to take out with my makarov, because of this patch's nerf or zombie buff; I load up my new rifle, shoot it for the first time, oh the power it has, it kills a zombie (that one being the first zombie I killed in this entire life) in a single shot to the body, I proceed to kill two more and miss my first shot, the 5 remaining zombies see the shot and come running to me I won't be able to kill them, I run to the forest, lose them and go back to the crashed helo. To my awe I find a L85A2 AWS, my alice pack wont be enough to hold it, I dump some supplies in the ground, loot it and run away some more when I finally log out in the middle of a forest near Novy Sobor.

This was probably one of the most intense lives I have ever had in this game, hope you enjoyed the tale of a lone gunman.

PS; now that I look back I only have 3 murders on the current life, and no bandit kills, one of the tree jackasses probably logged off and did not die.

You seem like a very experienced player. I admire your skills at defeating the three bandits, as well as your story. I can't relate, as I am bloody awful at this game, but it seems like you've done a terrific job in both murder and story telling. Very nice to read this post!
