Temperature

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know how you're supposed to estimate your temperature with the thermometer now that it's been removed from the debug monitor ?

From my experience the only thing the thermometer does is flash when you're already sick.

I guess you'll find out when your character starts randomly coughing.

My temperature started flashing - was not coughing. Don't know if it's bugged or been removed though.

Would prefer to avoid that as going to antis is generally suicide

Flashing thermometer doesn't mean you're sick, it means you're at or below 30. You just have no idea when that's going to happen, and luckily for all of us, random illnesses start much higher than that.

Have you been camping too long and got wet? I don't know of any way how you could have gotten sick unless you got an infection ( either Zombie or sick due to undercooling )

Normally the temp you see should represent your body temp, you should get weak below 38°. They say 42° is normal although you would be dead IRL by then.

not sure why you decided to go for such bold lettering for something that doesn't answer the question at all.

random sickness is below 36, only thing the thermometer does is flash at 30 apparently, surely it should start flashing at 37ish to be of any use at all.

below 34 you're at risk for infection. I've been cautious playing on night time servers to take breaks indoors or at fire-pits when I've travelling. Especially if it's pouring.

Pretty sure below 36 is risk of infection, below 34 is risk of 'cold' (hands start shaking making aiming harder).

that's besides the point though, question is if there's anyway to determine or at least estimate your temperature in the current build.

For example if they removed the blood level in the debug you could still pretty easily estimate your level with the blood Icon (green-orange-red), but I've seen no change in the thermometer at all while playing.

No, there is no way to estimate your temperature unless you get sick without being hit by a zombie or the thermometer starts flashing.

seems a bit dumb to remove it from the debug if the icon isn't implemented properly yet, could've removed blood if they really felt the need to remove something...

guess I'll just have to use heatpacks whenever I find them from now on.

Imo they need to change the temp icon so it changes colour more accurately like the blood. I tend to travel at night for med assists so this could come to be quite a pain in the ass for me lol.

I'm having a problem with the editor. sometimes it writes in very small letters so i just switch it to a bigger size.

eventually all of the debug monitor will be gone. best to get used to the idea now that you will only get a suggestion of cold etc
