I would like to play DayZ... and i dont know how

Hello everyone. :) i have never played arma 2 or DayZ. I have watched ever video on youtube about DayZ. I'm definetly not a pc player, and i would prefer if i could play DayZ on console, (Consoles probably wouldn't be able to handle a game like DayZ but idk that would be cool if it was possible). My labtop sucks balls. My big brother explained to me that DayZ/Arma2 met the "minimal requirements" on our labtop. The thing is i dont wanna have to play the game with crappy graphics on low settings. :| So if anyone could explain it to me that would be nice.

One last thing, anyone know exactly when the Stand-alone version of DayZ will be coming out? my friend told me about and said i didn't have to pay 30-40$ for a mod. (I WILL IF REQUIRED!!! :D)

Welcome to the forum.

I would say first to go and download the ARMA2 demo version. It should give you a clear idea if you can play it.

Secondly, Check out the installation thread or very good youtube videos on how to. Nothiing to it really.

If you don't want to have poor performance, you'll have to upgrade your equipment. If you're not willing/able to do that, you are shit out of luck. That's how things work.

As for the stand-alone, no one knows a timeframe. It will be out when it's out. If you want to play Day Z now, pay up!

Tbh, low graphics arent even bad. Just make sure you have 3d resolution set to the same as your screen resolution, then youre sorted.
