Bugged Ghillie Suits Still

I thought it was standard practice to put your backpack on the ground before putting on clothing these days? Silly survivors.

My camo clothing worked fine last night.

I've played Arma2 for years. And in DayZ mod I have not used one for a good reason. The camo gives the colour camoflauge without the additional outline size and irregular shape. They are too easy to spot for anyone who has played the game for a while. The outline is distinctive.

As someone up two posts said,they are useful when you are close in to someone and in grass where they can also see grass drawn, they don't see you as well more because they aren't expecting you to be there.

If one is actually looking for hidden "snipers" the ghillie suit is an easy spot.

Even larger outline for thermal scopes as well. If you are hiding in trees or anywhere for that matter, the ghillie will be an even brighter and larger blog on the thermal scope.

To the topic; has anyone experienced any bugs or issues putting the said camo outfit on? I have one ready but the last time I used any other clothing I spent a week in debug land.

Whole squad wiped this morning after someone took their as50 to our truck.

All of us put on ghillie's back at camp. Everyone who didn't drop their backpack first,

had their backpack replaced with the patrol bag, but none of us were teleported.

Meh, not really feeling your pain. There are far too many other glitches...for instance: With my gear, I attempt to vault over a wire fencing. In the process, I went into shock, broke a leg and died nearly instantly with -14k blood.

No, not accurate, at distance, the player model will not appear naked on a bare plain, but will somewhat "sink" into the terrain. BI implemented this a couple years ago. It doesn't work as completely as intended and ANY movement at all, turning of the head or rotating of the body makes the entire body pop up and be unconcealed in it's entirety.

I'd rather wear a ghillie suit then camo for one reason: The backpack.

It may be easier for you to see a guy in a ghillie but I'd bet money that it's far easier to see the giant tan alice pack on the dude laying in prones back any day of the week.

On topic: I've been wearing one all night. No problems other then when I first put it on my debug monitor reset (stats came back after I relogged) and for about a minute after I put it on I couldn't loot.
