How do I set up my microphone?

Recommended Posts

I have a working microphone (works fine on Skype/on Steam-chat), but for some reason id doesn't seem to work in DayZ. I have tried fiddling with the microphone-settings in Audio-options, but to no avail. Has anyone had similar issues and maybe even found a solution?

/bump on this.

I know that I have to change to direct communication with the . button and use caps lock to speak but they cannot hear me. My microphone works perfect in skype and i can hear other direct communction.

This happend to me today, was playing and using direct chat with friend then got disconnected for some reason. Rejoined and he couldn't hear me. Rebooted computer and rejoined and he still couldn't hear me. My headset works fine with other uses, it just stopped working in game.

You should bind a key for each Channel (ArmA2).

I am a arrow key user.

I have set N° pad 4 to "Talk on Direct Channel'

N° pad 7 is set to "Talk on Group Channel".

N° 8 for Vehicle Channel....

A little white mic Mic appears when yous use the key.

The effective range is, I believe set to 80 meters for Direct communication.

I will try that, but I'd like to reiterate that direct chat was working for me for a couple of hours. After I got disconnected and joined back it didn't. That just seems odd. I have also tested headset with voicerecorder and teamspeak and it works fine, If the problem persists after the attempted binding remedy I will probably just use teamspeak. Thanks
