Shopping carts!

I saw a De-Motivational poster on the forums and realized; shopping carts would be a great and easy-finding 'vehicle' to store stuff in. Here's some points:

• Easy to find.
  
• Easy to repair (if needed)
  
• More storage space than one medium backpack, but less than a tent.
  
• Makes less noise than a bicycle. (up for debate).
  

The negatives;

• Slow moving on terrain.
  
• Can break easily.
  

Simply put, carts can be a portable storage unit. Not the best choice, but a good alternative for fresh survivors. Could be hidden nearby a loot spot, player would have to go and retrieve the loot and place it inside, rather than strolling with the cart up to the spot and moving on. Since carts will be easy to repair, it's only right that they can be easily broken.

Anyone have any opinions on this?

I'm sure Rocket will rename this game to HoboZ.

I think its a good idea, but would be to funny shooting someone in the face that's pushing a grocery cart up a hill!

This has been suggested before and good discussion came out of it. I personally like the idea but I'm not too sure how practical it would be in terms of traversing the landscape. As a fair bit of Day Z is spent in-land.

yup not too long ago i saw a thread on this, and another on rollerskates too XD both seemed to happily conclude they should be slower on the grass though, itd be a cool way stock up quite a few supplies to transfer to a car or outta town XD

yeah carts would only make sense to use as found, maybe traveling locally, but doubtful that someone would want to use a cart to make a journey from Cherno to NW Airfield.

Rubbish idea in my opinion, No one would want to tie themselves down with a large trolley in a zombie apocalypse, it just doesn't make sense.
