One change that could make this mod soooo mcuh better

Take most of the resources out of the big cities like Cherno, and more resources more scarce overall. Me and a friend got to Cherno and he didnt want to leave because everything we could want was there already. Almost unlimited supplies. Wouldn't the big cities be looted first? They should be near empty and the supplies should be out in the little farm and forest towns, just like in real life.

Unless you want a wider variety of Gucci guns and steady supply of ammunition for those guns, there is really no point leaving the bigger cities.

I rarely go back south, and if i spawn i leg it up north again. The southern coast is like the wild west without sheriffs, people killing each other for canned beans and makarov mags.

I actually like that, coastline swarming with zombies and players where mainland beeing more deserted. Gives you a choice.

Big cities is a magnet for action. Remember; Hospitals and apparment buildings.

Think about it. The large cities are where most of the population would be at. Where a lot of zombies are at. They would be the first place being looted. It just needs to be a lot harder to find the resources to survive. More scarcity would make the mod better and not necessarily item placement.

I much prefer the cities, even though my chance of getting shot goes up by 300%. Wandering out in the wilderness to the North has little payoff, and the villages are much harder to actually fins useful things. The coast cities also are there to not totally frustrate new players, and give them a choice in the matter of staying or leaving with their loot stash.

yes I have discovered there are next to no medical supplies up north in villages beyond bandages, playing the game will shaking for pain killers in a three hour duration was not fun. Ultimately I was shot at the airfield when I was still looking for pain killers...

But I do agree that the northern part of cherno should include more items especially in towns where buildings cannot be entered. (also would be useful for less zombies to spawn inside buildings..there is no way to remove them without alerting the whole community to you exact spot)

As it is they ARE making more lootable spots about the map, little army outposts and such.

The cities shouldn't be barren but perhaps yes hold less high tier loot, encouraging players out of that death trap on the coast.

I agree but I'm not so sure most need encouragement, they just need a chance.

As it stands right now the basics for survival away from a big city are some food, some water, weapons and ammo, and possibly most important matches and a hunting knife. If you head into the wilderness without these last two you are dead just as if someone had shot you.

The wilderness, even the smaller farms and villages have next to zero canned food or water sources. I'd like to see basics like a well with a hand pump, kitchen matches and more sources of food away from the big cities. This would be enough encouragement for many, I'm sure.
