Wait for Host.... for hours

Hi, I recently gave in and brought this game to play around on after hearing so much about it for the path month.

My first time joining a game was fine, took 5 mins or so to load and I walked around trying to work out what the fuck to do.

But ever since then, everytime I try and join a server, any server I get into the "Wait for Host" screen and it just goes no further... I have sat there for over a hour multible times, I have probably tried 20 or more different servers and all have been no better off.

What am I doing wrong?

EDIT - Sorry I just noticed that there is a post about the Sixlauncher fail patch! thanks for the help thou guys

Hi, I had the same problem. What was happening was my McAffee virus software wouldn't let something through the firewall. I set it to always let it through and now I can play dayz finally! However, since the new dayz screen appears (yesterday) with the beta (is it beta?) version we now play, god it's slow to load. But not ten mins, that's wrong. Check your security isn't stopping net access. Good luck.

I've been having a ton of trouble since 1.7.2.4. I often get stuck at the loading screen and I have yet to get into a 1.7.2.4 game even though I have updated. I still have to play on 1.7.2.3 servers. Not to mention now I'm getting major texture glitch's, which I never had before.

i gote the same prop since the update half the time i give op and find a nother server but its lol when me and my frinds sixlucher dont tel the ping it just 9999 in ping
