No Respawn, why would I support offical release?

Is there another way to kill yourself when you dont have anything other than the respawn button? otherwise we obviusly need it, ive had many times where ive randomly broken a leg due to either a zombie or a bug and then had the option of either killing myself so that i could actually play the game or crawl around for over 2 hours in hope of morphene. Obviously i use the respawn button, because i dont want to crawl around like a fucking idiot all day. with no suicide button that means id actually have to crawl around LOOKING for somewhere with players or zombies to kill me which would still take me all day.

How can you come here and cry about the fact that there is no respawn button because YOU broke your leg / you're not spawning CLOSE ENOUGH to your friends,clan,whatever... Actually the issues that has to be addressed are the zombies AI, the GUNS balance, the multiple bugs with vehicles/tents etc...

You broke your leg without a morphine on you ? Well too bad for you, you had to be more careful. Try to crawl your way up to the closest hospital, it's hard, thrilling, and another experience of the game...

You are not spawning close to your mates ? Well ok... Both of you have to run in the same direction and find a rally point, one run with the sea on his left, the other on the right, avoid zombies and populated area, check for supplies as you're going to need at least one drink. It's again, another experience of the game...

YES, it's a part of the game, and my friends and I are enjoying it as it is. We're taking the game as it is. Of course it needs polishs and new features, BUT NO FEATURES THAT WOULD RUIN the core gameplay.

You MUST survive by any means. Once people get over it, we'll be alright.

Might I suggest to all the people using the 'it's an alpha, so go away' card, that that's WHY they are making this suggestion. He is voicing his opinion. Rocket is trying no respawns, he is saying he doesn't like it. If you disagree state that, but don't say he should make suggestions because we're in alpha. That's why we're here.

Now it is a bit extreme when people say 'I'm leaving and never coming back because this sucks' because it is in alpha, and it will change a lot. But dont hate on the suggestions simply because they're there. Seriously. This is one of the most daft and aimlessly hateful communities I have ever seen.

That's like rejecting a house because it's only a frame.

You may be surprised to find that things like the respawn are experiments and rocket and the guys are trying to see now things go over.

Incidentally, every time you hit the respawn button, it creates a new character in the hive that stays there. Every time.

I'm not sure why they aren't deleted, but respawn spamming is a huge drain on the hive that serves all the servers.

Let these guys develop and stop expecting the mod to do everything you want, every patch.

TL;DR: learn to alpha.

The frustration you experience over not spawning where you did is the same as being washed ashore as your boat capsized in a storm. You tried to get out of that horrid cherno but alas ... now atleast you 'survived' the capsize, but where are your friends, where are you... shit happened and now you have to deal with it... that is called survival, and that is the game... if you don't find that fun, then thats perfect as the 'shit' part of the game is not supposed to be fun, thats why its such a great experience... I haven't had this much frustration and tension since the [save game] was introduced, while it was great to actually finish some games, it also destroyed the whole tension build-up you would experience the further you got ... that is now entirely back ! and it's great !

So please play the game like it's meant to be played, when your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere there is no way for a friend to just 'spawn in' close to you, or even die and spawn at a better location. Either you know what to do, or you die, simple as that!

The removal of the respawn button obviously removes respawn whoring, but I don't see how it affects any other aspect of the game.

Ever been teleported to wilderness by a hacker? The "fix" to this, which is supposedly in the latest patch, does not work. I tried disconnecting and reconnecting a half dozen times and I still respawned in the wilderness. My options were to either run for half an hour back to the mainland, or wait until I died of starvation.

It's nice to see Rocket tests his patches so dilligently.

The OP doesn't seem to want helpful and collaborative, he just seems to want easypeasy ... if he wanted helpfull and collaborative he would have wrote a thread where he is thankfull for this removal as now he and his mate(s) have another objective as one of them dies, to find eachother again on time. And how this feature puts him is all sorts of places actually challenging his ability to survive... but NO, what does he want, he wants to spawn close to his mates so (t)he(y) can give him back his stuff and they can continue their 'hike' or shooting noobs in cherno ...
