low fps, how to lower visibility?

So as you know new patch made much longer visibility. The down side of it, that it dropped fps to hell.

"* [FIXED] Fog is way too thick"

I know there is a lot of threads with "fps problems", I want to ask Is it possible to lower visibility for myself? Tryed in options, doesn't help. Maybe there is other ways to lower it?

Might come from the server. Try different ones.

I believe that setting fog density has nothing to do with view distance, although your view will be reduced.

You can try this in the ArmA2 Game Editor.

Set your view distance in the graphic options and in the editor increase the fog scale.

(I will check, just to make sure).

As far as I know the fog and view distance are set in DayZ.

Try it.
