Problem with updating, nothing works

You should install the game by downloading the files manually from a mirror opposed to the six updater. That should fix the problem. You may be experiencing a problem with six updater rather than your computer.

Go to dayzcommander.com and download the client and run it, go to the Versions tab , click on "check now" and you'll get links to install the latest versions. You can uninstall the dayzcommander client later if you want and reuse the six launcher to play the alpha.

Six Launcher. <-- Seems to be your problem right there.

Give DayZ Commander a try. I've seen dozens of reports of Six causing problems, not many people have had issues updating with DayZ Commander. In fact, the very first time I updated with Six, it borked my game. I simply installed DayZ Commander and ran the update, and it fixed what Six broke.

Then again, as stated above, manual updates are the best way to do it.

Agree with above posters. Six Updater is just confusing. I switched to DayZ Commander few days ago and its simple and easy to use.

Exactly,and it's also much better rewarding. You have a history of the servers you visited,you can enter servers your friends are on,you can toggle between day and night servers (works like 95% of the time). It's much better than Six Updater and you don't need to update your DayZ version nor Arma 2 version to use it.

If your using a steam copy of the game you may have corrupted files, this happened to me on the recent beta patch update though steam. If this is the case then the updater wont be able to apply the mod and you will get an error like the one you posted, has happened to several clan buddies. Try verifying your game files through steam before using the updater. If not a steam copy then disregard my blurb and best of luck to you :)

Verify your game files (both Arma 2 and OA) in steam. Right click game in steam -> properties -> local files tab -> verify integrity of game cache.

If you have updated Arma 2 and OA on steam recently, start each of them atleast once. Go to menu and quit.

Install the Arma 2 beta patch: http://www.gamefront...Build_95417.zip

If you had 1.7.2.3 installed simply grab these files to update to 1.7.2.4.

Okay thanks, i did it all but i still have the Update on sixlauncher, and i cant use dayzcommander cuz it cant find the servers i need. But if i launch the arma OA it will start lagging ( dont ask me why i never found out) but if i launch it through six launcher it doesnt lag and i can play fine, So i did all u wanted me to do but its still fucking up . :S

It shouldn't say update on six launcher after that. Simply uninstall six updater suite and reinstall it.

Also grab the ip of your server from google and go to Arma and in multiplayer chose remote. Then enter the ip and port and connect. No need to use either Six or Dayz Commander.

6 launcher also comes with 6 updater and on a second browse through this thread I notice you have made no mention of it. The launcher is not the primary updating tool for the suite although on most occasions it will suffice. Im running late for work so I may have overlooked a post or two so in the case that Im wrong I do appollogise. In short, use the updater to repair and update your files not the launcher. Got to run, back in 5 hours or so, if your still around and not up to date ill invite you to teamspeak and see if we cant sort it out.

FFS, i tried one thing now. I deleted the dayz folder from the steam , AO arma folder and now the sixlauncher has a fucking install instead of the update button, and if it finishes that it doesnt eaven create a folder dayz again, what the fuck is going on? i spent 30 dollars for nothing?

Can you avoid six updater and try the remote connect method atleast once?
