Anton17 97 Posted July 30, 2012 Yes! I finally fixed it!What I found interesting was that when I allowed the Arma2oa.exe (beta) to launch, even after getting the error, I was able to load up the game. When looking in player profiles, I had somehow different players for each folder that was located in my root My Documents. This was strange. Also, deleting a character from that menu would also delete the corresponding folder in My Documents. For example, Adobe Photoshop was a player because it was a folder in My Documents. Strange, no?I tried deleting a couple of folders but nothing really happened and didn't know where the coding was that set that folder as the default Arma2 profile directory. I did create a new character and set that as default but the same error would still pop up when trying to launch the beta,There's a shortcut in the main Operation Arrowhead folder that is 'Launch Arma2 OA Beta Patch' which used to get the same error as when trying to straight launch it. For some reason, adding this parameter to the target line of that shortcut fixed it:-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\ExpansionThen I added this line to the Steam shortcut target:"E:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-mod=E:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;EXPANSION;ca;@dayz" "-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" -winxp -cpuCount=4 -exthreads=7 -nosplashHey presto! I can now run the Beta through a Steam shortcut, complete with overlay once again!

Pheenix89 12 Posted August 8, 2012 (edited) I know exactly what the problem is, when you create a shortcut for arma2oa.exe beta in steam its set to start in \arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\betaits not supposed to start in \Expansion\beta, its supposed to start in \arma 2 operation arrowhead. I accidently got this error message when i was helping my friend to launch DayZ via steam, compared his properties with mine, changed the wrong line and voila, no error message.the target is still supposed to be:"X:\the\path\to\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-mod=E:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;EXPANSION;ca;@dayz" "-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" -startup -parameters -go -hereso long story shorttarget:"X:\the\path\to\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" "-mod=E:\Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2;EXPANSION;ca;@dayz" "-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion" -startup -parameters -go -herestart in:x:\the\path\to\arma 2 operation arrowhead Edited August 8, 2012 by Pheenix89

Arkandias 0 Posted August 30, 2012 Hi!I had the same problem a few hours ago.If you bought Arma II OA by Steam, just right click on Arma II OA in Steam, properties, Local Files, and check cache Files integrity (sorry; in french it's "Vérifier l'intégrité du cache", i don't know how to translate correctly), the thirth option. In my case, Steam redownloaded 4Gb of Arma II OA, and the error "No entry..." disappaired.Hope it'll help :)
