zenatsu (DayZ) 96 Posted July 28, 2012 Define multiplayer setup. Is it that loading screen (splash screen), or the other loading screen?Do you lag in the lobby?Do you crash to desktop?Do you get an error? If so what is the error? It is best to tell us what it was you were doing/did before the crash/freeze

kibblez 1 Posted July 28, 2012 There is no message, my game just goes "not responding" I think i have the right beta patches and everything. Today I actually just got the patch 95389 along with the manual DayZ files that I extracted and put into my @DayZ folder in my Arma II OA. Anyways, how can I check to make sure I did that? Also I have norton antivirus and I tried to let everything through my firewall, is there a particular program I need to let through because I let through Arma 2 and Arma 2 OA along with Battleye, I cant quite seem to find the "Beta" program. zenatsu (DayZ) 96 Posted July 28, 2012 Also I have norton antivirus[...]Well there's your problem...Okay jokes aside. your beta patch is up to date, you say you extracted your DayZ files properly? You should be at patch 1.7.2.4. Else that may be why? Though iof your arma client is crashing it may be your arma gameDo you have it installed through steam, or nonsteam.if you have it through steam, Relaunch steam as admin, and verify file integrity. (Right click -> Properties -> Local files -> Verify) Do this for ArmA 2, launch the game to main menu. Do it for ArmA OA, Launch the game to main menu, and HOPEFULLY things work. kibblez 1 Posted July 28, 2012 Still doesn't fucking work this shit has not been working for 2 fucking weeks, I've made soo many fucking threads, DayZ devs need to fix their shit because they literally give no support help.#DayZSupportBlowsDick
Ovrclck 21 Posted July 28, 2012 Can you launch Arma 2 and does it still crash and I mean without Dayz. Also, have you updated your video drivers recently?
Hidden_Ops (DayZ) 27 Posted July 28, 2012 "Omg! Why does this alpha have bugs!"Really dude? It's an alpha. You are not even providing enough information for anyone to help you in the first place. "My game is crashing" is not very helpful. Have you tried re-installing? Are you running as admin? Is it steam or disc? Is your monitor turned on?
kibblez 1 Posted July 28, 2012 No I just got an MSI GT60 the laptop is pretty much brand new do you think I need to update video drivers

Is your monitor turned on?First of all Ima boss just wanna get that across. - I have tried reinstalling- I use steam- I ran as admin- I got beta updates- I got DayZ rar files and extracted them into my @DayZ- I disabled firewall/ allowed arma2- I'm using a laptop so my monitor is turned on- And I said that my game gets the "Not Responding" message on windows and I have to open task manager to close it.- last off Im just very dissapointed that the support for getting the game started and fixing problems is terrible. After you installed it and run it, on the right hand corner look for a tab called Versions. click on it. You will get two options "Check Now" and "Done". Click on Check Now to see if you're up to date, if not go ahead and install the latest patches. After you have the latest it should look likeArma2Revision: 95417Dayz : 1.7.2.4Click done when you are finished.Hit refresh on all servers and try to join one that is within the good ping limit. ( it will help you load faster )edit: There are some servers in limbo. And you'll either get Battleye is not responding ( you'll get kicked for it ), Or you'll get into a server and after clicking ok, you'll come to a loading screen that will be stuck for a good 15 to 20 minutes you decide to give up( this happens to servers that have just been restarted or fired back up after it was shutdown ). If all else fails please post the specs your system that you are trying to play on. Edited July 28, 2012 by Rokochan
