Server-side Hotfix 0.7.2, Helicopter status and server info

i guess there is no solution for this atm which everyone helps. we found and built up 3 helis on 3 different servers in the last days. every single one poofed after server restart. yesterday we did exactly what you recomment. we built up the heli on skalisky island, fueled it a bit at a fuel station, flew around with it a bit for like 15 minutes and landed at 2 or 3 different spots where we all exited the heli and saved it. then the server restarted while we were flying around. relogging let us spawn somewhere near where we were flying before but there was no heli to be spotted anywhere. then we checked all the save-spots where we were before - nothing. neither was the heli at its original spawn point on skalisky. the interesting thing is that another vehile we had on this server still was there where we saved and left if before the server restart.

if you dont see it at the spawn do this, go to each save spot, the disconnect and reconnect, while it shows receiving data it will show the background, if the heli shows up in the background, but then disappears, you just need to wait until the next restart.

I just love reading about the people complaining about the graphics glitching. Just exit the game and go back into the server you were in via six launcher, works every time for me. So what if you waste 5 minutes or so relogging, who cares.

I just love ppl assuming that is the same for anyone.... i rarely have them in example, but many of my friends are experiencing them, and relog doesn't help at all. Giving nosense advices doesn't help at all.

anyone know how to reload the 2 M240's in the heli once you've extinguished all the ammunition? We've tried every conceivable means of adding more ammo to that damn gun but haven't found a way ><

Even still, the people who complain that it makes the game unplayable, as far as i'm aware, and after reading many comments about the glitching, it only affects certain areas of the game, mostly stary and nw airfield or anywhere where the military is involved. Such places can be easily avoidable. It's not like you look at 1 thing and then the entire game shits on you and you cant see ANYTHING

its cool that it is bugged and shit...thats what i expect from an alpha

what realy annoys me is the fact that u cant even get intel on the bugs, not to imagine any fixes

devs are on vacation, it appears

furthermore u just cant start a bugreport because the mods are just not processing it

anyways...i can confirm that helicopters remain broken....it is not possible to save those...we fixed them twice on our server saved a whole lot of times, then restarted...gone...aparently respawening at original location...which might be random, meaning they respawn randomly on the map in general

any input on that by the community?

Again, i rarely had it, but yesterday i got it at berezino hospital... with our team we kept like 20 minutes to move from the tree line to it (it's around 200 meters) moving between the zeds and being totally exposes to the enemy fire, since we HAD TO DO. So yes, in certain situations, it's frustrating because:

a) You can't see anything;

B) You risk to die because of a bug, and that's not fun at all.

Stop defending the devs.. in THIS situation we needed a daily hotfix (forgiving the rest of the patch contents) because it is a shotwstopper/gamebreaker. It's not that we're going to ask to fix the helicopters (they can wait), but we're asking to fix a serious graphical issue.

The Devs DID do daily updates on their progress patching the graphical issues, that has however stopped now because of everyone getting their panties in a bunch.

But seeing as how you do not have to go in to any of the areas with static bodies or the military installations that give the glitches. If you choose to do this anyway stop moaning, we've done Berezino, airfield, balota, cherno, elektro and many of the others today with 8 people. Shift + num(-) flush works for some of us after repeating 10-20 times, others need to restart the game or their comp. And if someone in your team cant completely get rid of them, just put them on overwatch on your vehicles. I mean seriously, yes it is a shitty situation when you cant see diddlysquat but they are working on it and going all Chuck Intrawebs on the forums aint going to solve anything.

but at the same time it's kind of rotten that i can't go to berezino or nw airfield without my game deciding to take a big shit grapically it is a mild annoyance that does need to be addressed and fixed but I agree it doesn't make the game unplayable. There are plenty of places around the map you can still visit. so just stay away from there or have your friends who aren't having the issues go in, grab supplies, and beast it the hell out of there.

Look straight at the graphical glitches, and while you do so go into the Video Options and change your "HDR" settings to a different one (from high to normal, or normal to high, etc.) Changing that will definitely remove the artifacts, at least until the next restart. You can try the same with other video settings such as the Video memory.

This is not always a winner. Some people, like me, just need a permanent fix. For now I will avoid places where theres barbed wire, dead soldiers etc.

This is a lie. Our helicopter survived several server restarts without dissapearing until it was stolen.

Our servers chopper has been destroyed by a hacker eight days ago, still hasn't respawned (we had 11 clan members camping the known spawns and circling the map after each server reboot the first day after it happened, as well as the reboots around the time it happened 7 days ago.)

We still can't find it. When is the second batch coming?

The helicopter on our server has crashed into water and we cannot find it. Its not rusting at the bottom nor at any of the 3 spawn points on dayzwiki. Please help.

Thanks torokfremen. Usually we just reset the server but he wasn't awake. I'd imagine an admin would have control of the respawning of vehicles but I guess not.

You're clearly butthurt that YOU haven't found one. I have found the heli on the island on about 3 different servers... however, they do disappear after a restart somehow, as well as after a crash. If you crash a heli, it will DESPAWN for ONE WEEK.
