Make Hunting Knife a secondary weapon

Make hunting knife perform as the axe does currently but allow it to be place in the secondary weapon slot. Low damage but perfect for taking out animals without attracting attention. Also, given that pistols are now pretty much uselss, you could use all those ammo slots for bandages and carry a knife.

Most of todays "kantanas" would be cheep mass produced imitations. As would most swords and medival weapons. However getting your hands a real one - steel folded 100 times using knowledge passed down through generations - there would be some limbs flying.
