Tents

Recommended Posts

After what time (hours/days) will a tent disapear after my death?

Has saving a tent after the charcater has died an influence on the life time of the tent?

I've keept my tents for 2-3 weeks since I started playing Dayz....

Although when u die u wont be able to pack them again, but they'll stay at the spot if you visit the tent regularly....

I don't know if it's because of all the patching but a tent I placed 2 weeks ago is still there, I died while placing the tent due to animation/collision detection issues... I've only saved it once and it has kept items this whole time. However another tent I placed yesterday is gone and I am still alive... so... I have no idea...

From what I gather. It will disappear after two days of not being used.

I have tents from weeks ago that we still use and there still there.

Tent's disappear after 3 day's of none use.

But they last aslong as you want if you use them once a day. Or every 3days.

I had a camp on a multiplay server with 4 tents. We left due to server instability issues with 1.7.2.1. Came back a week later and all is how we left it. We had both died several times during this duration.

So whats the deal with tents?

Can me and my buddies go somewhere in the forest and set up a tent there and make it our little base?

Yes, you can store gear there (make sure to save it). But choose wisely where you place it, you only get 1 try.

to be honest, I was going to say not really, but then I remember past experiences of me trying to dismount tents, and I must agree
