Equipment lost

Hello,

yesterday i had a pretty good day, found a lot of usefull weapons, gadgets etc. But today i log in and what do i see? My backpack, my tools, my primary and my sidearm weapon are gone..

I mean srsly.. wtf? Is there any possibility to get all of them back? If yes, please tell me.. If no, it's bye bye dayz for me.. I see no point in playing a game, when your whole Eq is despawning, just for fun..

Sometimes it can help to respawn! I had the same glitch after a few days of playing. And respawning helped me retrieving my gear.

Let's just hope you don't have the exact same glitch as I do now (since I ALWAYS lose my equipment after logging out now).

Your going lose your gear in this game a lot, in the last three weeks I have lost everything to glitches and hackers several times over. You will not get your gear back this is not wow. In short this is not the game for you, bye bye.

Hm i'm playing this game for a few weeks now, but this is the first time, this happens to me. I never met a hacker (maybe lucky me?) or got many glitches. I know it's a alpha and i know this could happen, but it's still annoying :/

I only ran into a hacker once. Me and my friends were teleported to the same place (20 meters into the sky over a city)...But you'll get over it. Losing your equipment because you die is not that bad.

It's glitches that ruin the game.

It looks like it's the first time that you get this glitch, so no need to worry too much about it ;)

Don't get me wrong, I understand your frustration and sympathise with you but your going to have to come to terms with losing gear. Ill give you a few examples that you will run into if you play long enough. Crawl past tree, legs snap, dead. Walk up stairs, legs snap, dead. Tread on rocks sink into earth, not dead but stuck and have to respawn. Middle of the night suddenly turns to day, WTF nuked, dead. Warped to Cherno, fall from a hight legs break sniped by hacker,dead. Get out of vehicle legs snap, dead. Log out in vehicle (not recommended >.<) log back in later, under vehicle, legs snap, dead. Log out on a hill, log back in fall from 100m, dead. Patch comes out, wearing ghillie suit so server kills me off. Running along in the dark and suddenly all my gear disappears, possible hack but not sure, quick log out and back in before database updates character and gear back,whew. In fact now I think about it ive only died to other players 4 times and 2 of those were friendly fire. Gearing up is fun, the game becomes a little dull when you have everything.

I'm having the SAME exact problem as you man. This problem has only been going on for 3-4 days now but its really killing the experience for me. Basically whenever I log in and do stuff (gather new supplies, get a new gun, eat food, drop unwanted items) nothing gets saved. The only thing that seems to stay is the location I was at when I logged. The ONLY way that my inventory seems to save is if I die and respawn. This seems to save the inventory from Respawn till I log out, but when I log back in to do stuff and then log out again.... everything is gone and its back to the way it was before I played.

I'm also getting the problem of "Kicked from game" after playing on the server for more than like 5-15 minutes (varies server to server).

These problems are new to me and I have only been experiencing them for the last 3-4 days. If anyone knows of any fixes it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your Arma2 didnt update properly from steam as far as the "Kicked from game" goes, Right click on Arma2 in steam, go to properties and verify your files only takes 5 mins, then do the same for arrowhead. This should fix it, it did for me. Just to be sure though, open the 6 updater click on the mods tab, find dayz in the list, right click and verify/repair files in there as well. If that doesn't fix your woes I would suspect that you have a conflict from a 3rd party program like an antivirus or firewall.preventing the game from updating to the database.
