Still doesn't have the game but only watching vidz or reading this forum all day long.I see lots of vidz where people only shoot on others, some of them don't even shoot zombz.Just wanna know how do you people think this game will be in few months ? Will there only be little armies of "bandits" seeking for other players and other "non-balls" snipers OR will we be still able to live a "survivalist experience" ? I know, in survivalim there is also the need to kill some scumbags but not always.If this game turns in a huge deathmatch, I prefer stay out of that.Sorry for the shitty english...Thx. On the other hand, Zombies will always need to be killed, but killing other players is also part of the game. Those who spend hours killing off all the zombies, but let everyone live will find loot in buildings, and other places, but for me, the killing of another player is to take his loot, and make mine better.In a few months, I see the same thing.PS: You are also basing a lot of stuff off of Youtube videos. zutha 3 Posted July 27, 2012 Unfortunately, the best loot my friends and I have found are from players.I'm sure if when we spot you, if you do not have a gun on back or in hand... chances are we won't shoot you.A quick example:We are running through a field, from tree to tree.We spot a guy named Richard about 150m to our left who's being chased by 6 zombies.We look, someones says, "he has a gun".Everyone opens fire.We get a sniper rifle and some goodies.Sucks to be him, but the town he was running too had a dead body on a roof killed by a long distance gun.It's part of the game. I know, in survivalim there is also the need to kill some scumbags but not always.If this game turns in a huge deathmatch, I prefer stay out of that.Sorry for the shitty english...Thx.Everything you mentioned is what makes the game interesting to me...I love the fact i can be killed at any moment, some guy could just come around the corner and blow my brains out.But why did he do it??Maybe its not for a death match, maybe he thought he had to kill me, otherwise i might of got him!That interesting dynamic reflects you as a player and how you act towards those in a similar position.Its just as likely the guy coming around the corner shouts "friendly" and you can team up.Now there are of course psychopaths who kill for fun, and honestly? i have no problem with them, the zombie apocalypse needs psychopaths .. have you played Dead Rising? ... play Dead Rising and you'll understand. Chalupa (DayZ) 1 Posted July 27, 2012 there is the saying "man is its own worst enemy"I dont tend to shoot unarmed players i try to form groups of random players if i have nothing to lose, but if i have a M107 NVG's and a rangefinder i tend to not trust others. We can't see in the future...Will train a little, lonewolf style, dying, redo and so on...I'll surelly kill some other fox too... 'Till I get a better personal level and I will team up. UKJim 3 Posted July 27, 2012 Honestly I get frustrated with players killing me after I have done the leg work finding equipment etc. I am a father of a 1 year old son and don't have time to play that often, so I do not join groups or clans etc as I will lose them anyway. This means I am alone out there.I got killed last night by a group of 4 players - no calls for friendly or any kind of 'hey how are you' etc - just a bang in the head.I can understand the killing as zombies are easy - I only get killed now by other players - but still as a casual gamer with little time to play I am getting bored of losing my equipment and having to restart all time without being able to explore other areas due to being killed first.I have made a post similar to this to ask peoples opinions and comments also made a few suggestions too.All in all the game is fun and as long as you don't cry when you die and take the game as it is - you should be fine :) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

matt.gilmurray@gmail.com 46 Posted July 27, 2012 DayZ is strictly survival and doing what you must to survive whether it be killing other players crawling to avoid zombies or anything else and sometimes the consequences could lead to a deathmatch scenario but otherwise what you are watching now will never change; you just adjust to the environment you are put in and that is what makes this mod fun it isn't stagnant and repetitive so don't be scared off by a few firefights because I rarely ever get thrown into one. Suzie (DayZ) 13 Posted July 27, 2012 It's quite simple...First you try to get good equips, so meanwhile you are forced to deal with zombies...If you get awesome guns, you're obviously not going to shoot down lousy zombies with it.I think you should see zombies and players as the same thing: a threat.You are on your own, you have to survive...so kill every mofo that gets in your way I'd say.
