There was an update for ARMA 2 and OA. This update from Bohemia has changed the damage for many guns/ammunition.

Totally sucks that my second favorite gun was so heavily nerfed. And even then, smaller rounds with less gunpowder are doing MORE damage at the same range. What?

Yep. .308 versus .303.

.303 is heavier, bigger and packs more power. Yet somehow, it only does over 6k. The .308 is smaller, less power... And 8k damage.

But hey, the .45 ACP now does like 1/3rd of the 5.56 NATO. Yeah, that's at point-blank. Anyone here actually fire a .45 and a 5.56 or .223? Yeah, massive difference.
