Survival Operations is a semi-hardcore Tactical "Mil-Sim" community for DayZ based on the US Marine Corps structure and motifs. Although fun, friendship and the fact that this is a game are of paramount importance. We are looking for a tight nit, core team supported by many highly skilled and adverse players. Our group is highly active, skilled, dedicated to the team and the mod. With a core leadership team comprised from real world Military Personnel (USMC / ARMY), and several founding members having military backgrounds as well, we feel we can create something unique to DayZ.

Players will be required to go through several stages of training events (basic and advanced) based on real-world standards, training tactics, and ideals. If you're interested in pushing yourself and being part of a community to be reckoned with, then Survival Ops is the place for you!

If you do decide to apply, please note that we're looking for people with excellent situational awareness, dedication, and a firm understanding of basic game mechanics. We recruit players that play mistake-free, as well as those who show a willingness to learn and listen. The ability to hunt other players is certainly a plus, but what we're really looking for are players that don't make mistakes which lead to their own death or the death of other Marines.

Survival Operations is looking for exceptional players of all types to solidify our ranks as we develop our DayZ based Tactical Mil-Sim Platoon. As a Platoon, Survival Ops strives to be the best, we are never satisfied and we are always looking to better ourselves. As we place an emphasis on stability and maintaining a strong core of leadership. We are looking for mature gamers who wish to join a team with longevity and success in mind.

Applicants should be highly motivated and capable of playing in a tactical manner. We are not recruiting for the bench and we expect our Marines to be dedicated, available, and willing to learn!

Our main goal for Survival Operations is to form a highly skilled Marine Platoon with the outlook on future game content and to use the time we have until the release of a stand alone DayZ title to develop and grow as a platoon.

Currently 85+ applications have been submitted since the release of the video only a few hours ago!

To date we have received 412 applications to join our platoon.

There have been 630+ new users registered on our forums.

1,500+ posts across 500+ threads.

We currently have roughly 70 entrants in our first prize drawing!

I would like to thank those of you who have stopped by and become active in our forums as well as all that have applied!

As a result of the mass number of applications we have received we will be closing applications for the current cycle.
