Winchester 1866

I recently stumbled upon a winchester, and as I was low on clips for my AKM, I picked up the shotgun as a backup weapon. Wow. That thing can pick off zombies in one shot from a pretty far distance. I know in real life its a rifle, so maybe that explains why the range is so great.

Anyone else use this gun much?

It's the perfect 'noob' weapon because the ammo for it is abundant and you can find it almost anywhere. A lot of my friends use the weapon because of the jack of all trades style of it, I would personally use the AKM for the zeroing and the power (It also one shots zombies and can kill a player in the matter of moments on fully auto) but that's my opinion. Use whatever you're comfortable with. Also a good upgrade for the Winchester, when you find it, is the M14 AIM.

A friend of mine has killed an awful lot of people with a Winchester mainly because after the first shot they're fucked up enough to be unable to do anything before they get shot one or two more times.

Of course with an AKM the same thing happens even more quickly, but with either one you'll probably win if you hit first.

It's rather OP and that is why it has become rarer than it first was... But yes, if I had no good gear I would definently use it, it's a beast

Probably one of the best weapons in the game imo. Rated low for recoil, low for noise, and it 1 shots zombies and it whoops players asses. Not to mention it has some pretty great range. Only reason I'd ever choose another gun is for the fire rate for zombies mobs or other players.
