  1. And by that, I mean I got shot a bunch of times while doing something stupid and still survived. I had just respawned after someone killed me face to face when I was unarmed (you fucking asshole.) I ran into the same exact dude in town, and he shot me about twice point blank with a revolver (after saying "hey, is this the same guy?" fucking asshole) but I was able to escape and bandage myself. I was running as fast as I could through Elektro heading for the fire station in town, when someone started shooting at me from a rooftop or something. I zigged, and I zagged, and got shot probably 6-7 more times. Did I go down? Nah. Was I bleeding? Nah. Was I at low blood? Nah. I literally got shot that many times and was still at 10k blood. Why the fuck did they nerf all the guns again? Oh yeah, to make it more realistic. I hope the DayZ devs can bump up the damage more. It was the ARMA II people that were responsible for the nerf, I believe. I don't want to have to shoot a dude 15 times with a Makarov just to make him pass out for a second. 3 clips is not worth your can of fucking beans!

    US 281 hackers

So we decided to pick a server to go PVP in Cherno, and we stumbled upon 281. We had several dudes and were holding down the two tallest buildings in the city when we took out a few dudes that were heavily armed, with coyote patrol packs. Upon looting their bodies, we found AS50s, MK-48s, and all sorts of ridiculously good weapons. They had NVGs, GPS, etc. About 10 minutes after killing them, they were baaaack, fully armed, shooting grenades at us from below. We did what any decent DayZ player could have done, and took them all out again. A few minutes later, they were back. See guys, when you don't cheat and hack for the best guns in the game, you learn to watch your back, aim true, and pull the trigger just in time. You don't run through like COD and try to blast people. But I guess, when you automatically start with assault rifles, its hard to develop those skills. So we killed you, over and over, only taking a casualty or two ourselves (one from friendly fire.) The hackers were TUT H3FTY PC DENTON there were a few more, but I can't remember now. Played on the server again, and found a fully loaded camp. Two buses, two cars, a van, two army trucks, a UAZ, two dirt bikes, and about 5 tents. They had almost every weapon in the game, and multiple copies of each, including about 6 AS50s. Oh, and those hackers listed above were in game at the time. So, we raped your hacker camp and stole all your shit and fucked up all your vehicles. We distributed weapons to tents on different servers. Thanks guys, we're now fully loaded.

    NE airstrip sniping (how to)

The funny thing about shooting at animals is they don't shoot back.
  4. I was up in Stary, and it was getting late so everything was a dim grey. I was coming from the South, but decided to loop around to the East and come in by the tents in the North. As I was crouched, walking through the trees, I see a survivor looting the tents. I continue moving up and hear gunshots as the survivor takes out a few zombies. I hear another type of gun, and soon I'm hearing two guns firing on zombies. Sweet. A squad of two. There were only 5 people in the game, so the odds of me running into these guys was ridiculously low. All I have is an AKM, a Lee Enfield, a Glock, and a grenade. I zero my AKM to 100 meters and go prone behind one of the closest trees on the little hill, and I draw a bead on the one guy I can see. I know that they are probably better armed than I, so I have to get a quick kill before they have any idea where I am. I wait for the guy I am following to come out of the end tent, and when he does I take a shot with my AKM. I missed. Shit. He takes cover fast, and I wait and watch. "Oh yeah... I have a grenade. Well, if I toss this over there," I think to myself, "I will probably scare the hell out of them." I throw a grenade as far as I can, and it lands in between the tent rows. Definitely not as far as I would have liked it to go. BOOM! Two players are listed as killed at the bottom of my screen, and my murder count goes from 0 to 2. Sweet. I jog out to loot the bodies, and all of a sudden I'm taking automatic fire. I book it back to the trees and run up the hill. I take cover behind a tree and start taking fire again. He can't hit me from where I am, so I stay there and he gets attacked by zombies. I run again up the hill and listen as the guy is forced to shoot zombies. I move back up to my original position and wait. Periodically, I see the dude running between the tents, but he seems to think I've left. I wait and wait, and he goes into the same tent his buddy was in when I took my first shot and missed. This time, I'm more patient. There is only one left, and I have the tactical advantage. He takes his time, looks through his friends equipment, and finally he runs out. I fire three fast shots, but its so dark I can't tell if I dropped him or if he's gone prone. I take a few more shots, and wait for my vision to focus in. He's down, laying on his back and bleeding. I take a few more shots at him, and everything he ever was ceases to be. I finally make my way down, more cautious this time, and loot the bodies. They were fully loaded. I came to Stary with 0 murders, an AKM, a Lee Enfield, and 1 grenade. I left Stary with 3 murders, an L85A2 AWS, an M107, and 0 grenades.

When are the artifacts going to be fixed?

If you go to "My Documents/ARMA II/" and open your player profile with notepad, you can press "control+F" and type in "scenecomplexity." The number should be 100,000 or 300,000 or something like that. Whatever it is, change it to another number. For instance, I went from 300,000 to 100,000. This is only a temporary fix and can work for anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours. Something about changing that number resets a graphics thing and makes the game playable. I ran into severe problems at Balota airfield, and this fixed everything right up. It is coming from dead military soldiers (not zombies) and occasionally from barbed wire, but not always. ***Does not work for everyone***
  6. I had just been killed and had spawned near Otmel. I booked it north to the deer stand... nothing there... and then West to Elektra. I decided to check out the factory with the military loot to the northeast of the city. As I made my way in, I aggroed a few zombies, ran into the garage, and I heard crying and screaming coming from the tower. I turned to look, and blood was pouring down the staircase. As I was out of bandages, I looked frantically around the room and found two in the corner. I grabbed the bandages and said "Hey, you're bleeding! I am friendly and unarmed. I am coming up." Turned out he didn't need bandages, but he told me he was really low on blood. The zombies that had followed me were coming up the staircase, and he shot them as they came up. Unfortunately, his DMR aggroed every zombie in the area, and soon zombie after zombie were pouring in. I told him I could try to run into town and get medical supplies to heal him, but he said I might as well kill him and take his shit. He said he was low on ammo and almost done. As I had no weapons, and I'm not a murderer anyway, I stuck it out with him until the floor was full of zombies. At that point, I ran to the top of the tower and lied down, listening to him being eaten below. After a few minutes, the zombies had left, and I went down and took all his stuff. And that is how, with 0 zombie kills, 0 murders... 0 everything, I became fully loaded with a DMR (+2 full clips) and a czech pack. If only all lives started out that well. Whoever you were, sniper, may you rest in peace. Oh, and thanks for your shit.

    Sniping in Heli-crash sites

When you get to endgame, there is more to do than just kill people. Becoming a medic is equally as challenging because it requires you to run across a map and meet up with a stranger, hoping they don't ambush you. It always leads to some excitement.

    Best Secondary Weapon?

I have never found a silenced M9, but I would probably use it if I did. I generally use the G-17 because it is absolutely awesome at head shots, has tons of bullets and takes the M9 clip, too. The PDW is also very good, and is much more accurate than the Makarov or the 1911. I used to like the 1911, but once I used the G-17, I realized how much the 1911 sucks. It is really hard to aim at anything farther than 50m.

Hey, are any of you still in Cherno? I need some supplies if anyone wants to make a run to the hospital with me.
  11. Usually, its the other way around. You wanna be a bodyguard, you should prove that YOU are trustworthy. There are plenty of medics on here, and they are easy enough to find.

Enfield is a solid gun, just don't use it on zombies unless you're really far off.
