What are your methods or routes to finding good weapons?

Just wanting to know what the best spots others think are to get good weapons and gear, and if so do you farm them? Also How often do you go to these places. Just trying to start a topic so other players can learn about finding good loot.

Head down to Elektro or Cherno and loot the basic spots. Once I got a weapon I'll try to hit supermarkets. Cherno, Elektro, Zeleno.

Spawn. Head to large city. Loot large city for weapon + food. Head north to NW Airfield. Loot Barracks. Find Military assault rifle with decent amount of ammo. Leave. Stay away from Airfields for the rest of that life. Loot small cities and deer stands for loot I haven't acquired yet. Done.

Spawn on coast, get a hatchet from nearest barn, check every sniper spot around Cherno for a fully-geared player. Find one, axe him a question, take all his gear.

This method saves so much time and effort since you get everything except your hatchet in one place, the tunnel-vision sniper you just axed.

I recommend to search barns, the chance of being shot is low, and plus you can find some decent weaponry like snipers and shotguns. Ammo for those guns are easy to find too.

Find a residential place, Barn/Farm, Supermarket, and hospital. Then you should have a lot of gear and food to survive. Then optionally head to airfield for better weapons and gear. Doesn't take much to survive in game, surviving people is the challenge.

Generally get geared up with the essentials, then head northwards towards Zeleno and Starry, Search West to East looking for Helicopter crash sites and other survivors to pass sentance on.

Once satisfied with gear/supplies, will head upto NW Airfield to find criminal scum.

What the judge said. I gear up basic on the coast, then head north, hunting crashed choppers, then hit stary/NW airfield til im happy with my kit. (im never happy with my kit)

Any one else rekon that LMG/GPMG's have become much scarcer on chopper crashes since last patch? (i havnt seen one in ages...)

Depends on spawn. If i spawn next to elektro or cherno, i tend to loot them, just for fun, since i will never return there geared. Then to stary and from there to nwa.

If i spawn to kamenka, i will loot deerstands until i hit zeleno. While there i only loot the market. If i dont find alice from there, i will continue to pustocha, otherwice i goto greenmountain, follow the trail of deerstands and gear up. When i hit north, i loot stary and nwaf.

Well if i spawn to balota, i will loot the airfield and the military camp below it, and then i continue to kamenka and do the same thing as i would have spawned there.

My favorite route has been to sneak across the south end of Cherno into the supermarket, hopefully grab a majority of the tools I need (watch, compass, map, binocs, ect...) and some food and stuff, then head through some residential house, the church, then the firestation. Usually by then I'll have a decent amount of gear and I can book it into the woods. My longest life though I had gotten an axe from a farm and pulled some straight up Solid Snake shit through Balota, got into the airfield, raided it, then raided the deer stands at the military camp south of it, then went err'where after that until I finally got shot looting a hospital.

Best amount of loot is in enemy camps ;)

Saw a M249 at a helicopter crash yesterday, just northeast of NW airfield.

Head to a major city, loot for basic gear and equipment such as, Secondary Wep, binocs, hatchet, matches, huntingknife and then head up towards Stary Sobor and loot the tents for any military class weapons and then move further north to the airfield barracks.. Then the only problem is surviving and not being glitched and losing everything!
