Honestly we were being careless, pissing around on bikes looking for tires and shit, we were repairing an off-road pickup when my mate takes several rounds to the chest, I bail from my bike and Yell that we're being attacked, Immediately everyone of our 5 man crew spreads out and hides bar one who is trying to rejoin after a ping kick, Bob, as i'll call him, was inside a barn, he covered our Ural, watched for approaching baddies, while i hid behind a tree keeping an eye out, My third friend Ryuk moves and gets dropped by an AK. Poor guy only just finally joined us after i picked him up from the coast, I circle south and north, spotting one hiding behind a tree, two shots with my DMR, one hits and then the coward alt-f4s, the second guy is lying to the east of me, He never got a chance, Head shots are quick. The final guy see's that he's fucked and bolts north, I follow him with my DMR and drop him when he lays down, He alt-f4s while bleeding.

We drove them off, but they killed two of us, we ended up losing the Pickup, it needed two tires and by the time we got them and got back, it was gone. They got some loot, Mid range gear really and some basic supplies.

3rd time, First was in Stary, Died.

2nd was at NWAF, Lived after evasion.

and this was the third.

It reminds me of EVE online Honestly, Boring tedeous and long periods of time between unknown contacts, but when the shit hits the fan, its intense and heart pounding, Both EVE and DayZ have a form of permadeath.

also, for the record, there was a time between the third and the second, I was kicked for ping over 400 once while stalking a player, I didn't think of it as a combat situation cause no shots were fired. when i rejoined he was no longer in sight.
