Patch + Servers = Starving

Anyone else losing there char [starving] cause the constant flashing "YOU HAVE ZE WRONG VERSION" (either to old or to new) + unable to find a server to connect to?

Just have working releases every weekend, not every hour >.>

Who cares. Just die and start over if need be. It isn't hard to re-gear.

You just need to update your version... It's not a very hard fix.

On your point about working releases every weekend, not hour, the hotfix was just that, a hotfix. Unexpected things happened with the original patch, and we were fortunate enough to have a dev that worked his ass off to get a fix out quickly so that we could enjoy a game that is in alpha (a point in development where honestly, there could be a patch every 30 minutes and it would be okay).

Yeah, annoying, but it's an alpha and you really are not meant to get too attached to a character :)

Our mission right now is to test the game and report bugs. If we can have fun while doing it, that's awesome. We will have to accept bugs and problems. It's not like your losing anything by playing the alpha, except time. And that's time you choose to do with what ever you want. If we would've paid to play DayZ and there would be a lot of bugs, and losses of characters I would see how whining and ranting would kind of be in it's place but now, in this stage of development, it's just rude.

Can your character die from starvation when you aren't playing? I was under the impression not using your character for a while would make him hungry, but he wouldn't die instantly when you play again as long as you eat. Was I wrong? I didn't play for 3 days in a row and when I came back my character's food and water was blinking red, but I didn't die. I ate and drank and everything was fine.
