Personally I prefer solo over coop as strengh in numbers doesn't always apply in DayZ ;)

When I go on solo missions it's way easier to be sneaky, and to account for any bloodloss always carry alot of cooked meat.

Suggestion goolge animal spawn map. Learn what typical places to find animals, Always prepare the animals before your missions.

Also stop gettin hit by the frikkin zombies ;)
