M16A2 M203 Iron Sight

hey

is the M16A2 M203 iron sight somewhat bugged? i am assuming that i have to aim with that little 'pin' or whatever its called from the iron sight? the normal M16A2 seems to hit right where i aim at (at reasonable ranges) while the M16A2 version with the grenade launcher seems to be completely off (it hits MUCH higher).

is this a bug? any tips how to actually aim with that version of the M16A2?

Make sure you're not using silenced ammo in a non-silenced gun. It's a bit bugged if you do that, and is zeroed at 1,000m.

i am using the standart ammo. did you try the M16A2 w/ grenade launcher?

I noticed this too. Took me a long time to figure out how to aim this thing. Although I didn't try zeroing it, if it even can be.

Yep the iron sights are dodgy. You have to aim slightly lower than you normally would. Anyone know if the m4a1 m203 is better? I love the underslung but the sights are a real issue

It tends to overshoot on the m203 irons, just aim down a tiny bit for anything under 300m IME.

Due to the M203 irons overlapping with the M16's, I find the sights god awful to use.

The grenade launcher's notches also represent precise distances when you're launching grenades.

Yeah, the iron sights for the M16/M203 are horrible. When I first got it, I was so happy. Then I realized the M203 sights were always up...

I wouldn't mind being able to switched between them, pushing the M203 sights down when they aren't needed.

its not even that the m203 sights are up all the time. its that the iron sight is simply bugged imo. its totally off and that little pin is nowhere close where the bullet lands (the version w/o the grenade launcher works fine though).
