"Are you sure you want to respawn?"

After running through the forest for an hour, hunger blinking red I finally reached a town full of zombies. I managed to sneak past them and found that alot of the house-owners cleverly boarded up their doors before/during the apocalypse and just painted the doorknobs on. At last I found an open door and a can of beans, I ate it and felt happy. The sound was a bit low so I went to audio options to turn it up, but I clicked respawn instead. I died instantly, not from hunger, not from zombies nor from bandits, but from a misclick in a menu.

My suggestion is this: "Are you sure you want to respawn?" should show up when you click respawn. Some of us have fat fingers and drink alot of coffee, so it's not always easy to hit the right button/menu-item.

Every time I open options to tweak brightness, I always worry that the next time I do, I'll hit 'Respawn' instead. It's my biggest fear right now. Not zombies. Not bandits. That button.

excuse my ignorance but what does that button actually do? Does itm ake your restart the game or merely teleport you back to your starting area without any of yuor goods again?

It immediately kills you so you can respawn with a fresh character.

This is a bit of an iffy one, cause it's more of something to do with Arma2 than DayZ.

I've killed my self several times doing this; I completely agree this needs to be added.

so as it is now.. if yuor almost dead you can just respawn instantly to avoid death and then try to find your corpse to get your loot back?

I might just do this to keep from having to wait for log in ques and not worry about trying to find my loot... heck if I was going to die anyways... LOL
