    harvesting

    I would think you could utilize the stuff already in game.. but it could also be another feature to the game.. farmind... not just harvesting.. I would think that you could get water bottles to help your plant grow or just plant in an area that is more likely to get rain.. or near a lake or something like that. I think some areas should be more fapt to produce something and other places that are rocky or something not grow anything at all. I think growing something should not be a click this click that and you get this situation...While I think some of that is good.. I don't want the outcome to always be the same. I think harvesting from the wild should be much eaiser but it would cuase you to have to go out and about looking for things to harvest... pros and cons to each method... stay in and grow your own with mixed luck and low production or move all over making your more volunerable but more apt to find a good big crop that you can exploit and take back to your tent or campsite area.
  3. We all know tents need some work... I think we can add a feature that will make them more useful and help players some. I think tents and a "base" or campground is vital.. being in a tent or campground area should help your humanity.. where as your humanity should suffer from being alone without a place of shelter or a "safe" area. (even thought tents aren't completely safe, I am sure your characters do feel safer in a familuar place with storage) I wouldn't mind an option to "rest" or "sleep" be added to a tent. the Sleep or Rest feature will help you to slowly gain some blood and health back over time.. perhaps you go to your tent and sleep your character lays in the tent volunerable and it gives you 50-75 blood each hour. If you left your guy volunerable sleeping in his tent.. there a good chance your going to get whacked.. (think of skyrim sleeping with their timer system) Maybe the sleep would only take actually 5 minutes of real time or so but you could go back every hour to rest to continue regenerating some health. This way people don't go afk to heal up or even need to.. They just run to their tent every hour to rest up a bit..esentially giving you 10 blood a minute for up to five minutes total, no more than 50 blood total per real life hour so after their first 5 minutes of sleeping.. they can't get anymore blood from resting until that hour long counter is up. This will make stalking tent areas fun too. Becuase there is a chance someone in actively using the tent to rest and will need to come back to it semi often. Currently tents are just for storage. I place extra stuff in mine and often don't go back to it for a long long time... the more I use it now the more likely it is to be found.. someone sees me going back and fourth... this heal feature will encourage people like me to actually use the tent more.

    I'd like to suggest the ability to harvest some of the items in game that are curently just for looks. You guys have all been hungry alone on the outskirts of some sleepy looking town looking at zombies and decided to crawl to find a can of sardines... On the way to some of the buildings that look like they might yeild a food item you are literally crawling through farmland or in yard that have gardens... I've seen pumpkins and all sorts of other things "growing" that in a real world situation I would just eat and say bump the sardines... It would be awesome to one day be able to plant or maintain a food production source... It should be low yeild and having alot to do with the weather cycle... should be fully exploitable by other players that happen upon it. Definatly shouldn't be able to be grown anywhere.. Maybe I'm being crazy but for the stand alone this would be cool. I would protect my little garden patch.

    Sounds good to me... I think it would be a cool feature and tool for the players... I'm not sure how it could be done but I don't think it would be too hard.. there are already blue colored UN helmets and such in the game seems like changing somethings color should be easy.

    I would agree that picking a spawn place exactly wouldn't be the best way to hande this problem. However I think that their should be some way to meet up with your friends if you wish. Right now spawning without a map or weapon makes moving across server almost impossible if you start in certain areas. I don't mind it but sometimes a friend and I spend hours trying to meet up... no big deal I guess.... but this is what I was thinking... It would be cool if you could pick a region of the map to spawn randomly in.... like just devide the map into 4 parts.. you could select nw zone or se zone and such. You guys are saying its unreleasitc and not right to have buddies near you.... I think thats crap.. in an emergency situation your going to get up with your friends and family and work as a team your not going to call your long lost brother in law on the other side of the freaking world to run and try to meet up. Anyways just some thoughts out loud.. the respawning till you get a specific area is BS but I do understand peoples playing times can be limited and that they enjoy playing with friends instead of running around alone. People will get around the cooldown by going to another server and how would you prevent people from playing that log into the server to find 3 zombies running straight at their face with no way to pretect themselves....or outrun/smart them..

    I would think a sugary soft drink would help insulin levels and blood production.. although not much but if you've already popped pills and used bandages to stop bleeding in real life your body would recreate blood and you would start to feel better. I really think some sort of rest feature could/should be implemented. Maybe if your rested your more alert and don't make as much noise and are a bit more stealthy.. I dunno just thinking out loud.

    I think it would be great to regen a little health over time.. even if its miniscule.. it would seem like if you could be in game hidden or in a safe spot for long enuogh soon you might could regain some health... even if it wasn't to 12000 maybe if the highest life you could regain without doing anything would be 10000 until you got hungry and it would then deminish from that. I would think a "REST" actioan would be great to help you heal up a litte as well if simply waiting for health to regend wasn't good enough... say you had to be inside a srtucture or near a tent not hungary or thristy and you would regen.. I dunno I think introduction of bears and/or having animals sometimes go rabbid and attack you would making hunting alot funner. We need a slight risk to a bigger payout for hunting a bigger animal. I like that cows dont offer resistance to being shot but say a cayote a bear or a Mountain lion could.. that would be cool... I'd like a fishing pole... I could catch lunch skin a fish with a knife and cook it... seems resonable to me.
  15. It would be great to have a way to identify a group or an individual that belongs to a group. I'm talking like a emblem or a color or a clothing item used to show you are friendly with other players... This would encourage some grouping. I'd also like to group with others and eventually mark off an area as "ours" and defend and protect our things. Obvisouly it would make some people want to come and take the area from us and control its resources. Other groups could infiltrate us and such try to trick us or gank our things. I think these two things could add alot of depth to this mod. Even without a uniform areas can still be taken over.. but it would be hard for ther others to identify it as an area that is under a groups control.. and thus I don't think many people would actively try and attack it... I want to encourage this type of play I want someone to hold a property and another group to try and take it back and orgganize until they are able too.
