If DayZ wasn't situated in Chernarus

I'd like to see something with more of a city / jungle type mixture. I guess like the island on Crysis (1st one). Not exactly but that kind of thing, chernarus is good, but yeah, it does get "old" quick. A ruined city would be cool to be able to search (subways / tunnels / alleys / buildings) you could even include a train or something that you can get going . . .

I would love a large western urban map... you know, some nice "New York" or "London" analogue. I dont know of any mod makers have made large urban maps. All those buildings would make the game very vertical which would be a snipers paradise.

I would like a big city, with big suburbs.

A highway crossing the map would also feel nice, tough for it to fit you would need a much bigger map.

A number of these aformentioned maps fit the bill, with several containing multilane highways bisecting the map at points.

Somewhere in a desert actually is something I'd enjoy. With a few large towns that are far from each other. Bonus points if you get dehydrated faster.

All in all, there are countless different environments in Arma 2. I recommend you download some of these and mess around with them in the editor. Some of the mapmakers are truly brilliant and deserve recognition for their hard work. Rocket and Co's time is mostly devoted to getting DayZ stable and working properly, I highly doubt they would create a new map out of the blue, but all they'd need to do to get an existing map working is to set up player and object spawn points, loot tables for the new buildings, and the clutter and debris that sets DayZ Chernarus apart from regular Chernarus. If enough people petitioned Rocket to implement an EXISTING Arma 2 map into DayZ, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to do so, seeing as he's already expressed an interest in doing just that.
