Adding wound and stamina system from ACE.

Hey, sorry if this has been suggested, I did a search and it came back negitive. But if it is possibe I think the wound system from ace would be a great addition to dayz. Also the stamina system would great aswell. For those of you who have not played ACE the stamina system in that makes it so that if you are carrying a lot and run for too long your character with fall to the ground and the screen will go black and you wont be able to move for a bit, I guess like passing out in some sort.

No we DO NOT. It's already somewhat difficult and time consuming already.

The volume amount would be much better/more realistic! why does a compass or pistol mag take up the same amount of space as a rifle mag? i should be able to put 2 - 3 pistol mags in the space of a rifle mag.

also, the weight would make vehicles far more interesting as they could hold gear that you can't necessarily carry and a larger pack does not give you as much of an advantage.

would make carrying a car wheel and engine on your person less desirable.

I feel it would make the game more tense, you would need to group up more aswell to carry loot which could cut down bandits since everyone would be together.

i`d say yes, because what we currently have is kinda fucked up for the game that tends to be authentic

im also for this, first off, my beans to you for knowing about more than just dayz. second off, i love the ace weight/stamina system as much as i hate it. i love the wounding/medical system as well. it makes things so much more real. feeling the pain of the weight while your players heartbeat gets louder can be pretty scary in a hairy situation. it would add to the feel of the game. most importantly the zeds would impose a bigger threat since running away is no longer a routine action. on that note, i think zeds should have stamina systems as well, but better than survivors.

Just make it so infected can get hits in when your at running speed.Then make it so that sprinting is a little faster than it is now so you can evade the infected but stamina(dependent on load)will eventually slow you down to running speeds wherin the infected can once again get in hits on you.Makes for tense moments trying to evade before you get too tired to sprint while at same time keeps the speed your running now to allow cross country travel with ease.
