Shaimou 49 Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) ATOC=Disable. See everyone hiding beside every tree, bush, grass, whatever. No more hiding under a spruce. No more escaping to dense vegetation from bullets. Disable your ATOC and become the king of the forest today! The trees are much more thin, have lots of large holes in them, and you can raycast through them. The grass is much less dense, and its draw distance is lesser than 30 meters. why.jpg Edited July 25, 2012 by Shaimou

Tweakie 199 Posted July 25, 2012 The new patch lets you disable AToC. Nevermind that you could actually do it, for the past 2 months, by editing the config...OP is just abit clueless.

Talon2000uk 30 Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) In Windows 7 the directory you will find the config file is: "C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\ArmA 2"Look for "ArmA2OA.cfg" aand open it with notepad. Change "AToC=7;" to "AToC=0;"I have no idea what the other switches do ie: AToC settings 1-6... doNew patch lets you do it easier. Beanus 61 Posted July 25, 2012 lol, I looked at the ATOC before and thought, "Why would I want to run into every tree and bush in the world?
octopos 26 Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) There must be a minimum options to play the game... I have saw videos on youtube where everything is disabled, shadow, AA, HDR, textures in low, so the player can easily see any one in the grass, into woodland, and spot items from far ...This is an exploit equals gamma for night, there must be a minimum option to use :( . If you only can play this game with everything disable, fell sorry, but you cannot play it, it's not fair to others players. Unrein 6 Posted July 25, 2012 I've always played with antialiasing off, so I guess I've had ATOC off from the beginning. It really doesn't make much of a difference, maybe a slight one if you're peering into a forested hill.

On the ''normal'' pre- 1.62 setting I couldnt see if someone was hiding under a spruce or behind a bush until Im VERY close, (melee range) now Im able to see them as long as they are in the line of sight, no matter the distance. In my opinion, this is kind of an exploit. Edited July 25, 2012 by Shaimou
