pvtcraft 1 Posted July 25, 2012 Hi there.I have a problem with connecting to the servers at the moment.I get into the lobby of the server, servers I could connect to yesterday, and then after about 10 seconds the game kicks me from the server. This is happening for every server.I can see how this might look like a ban but I don't know why. I'm not a hacker, I'm an average player and I NEVER Alt f4, Hold your applause.I know that yesterday we had the problem with what seemed to be a server wide Derp/Hack and I don't know if the 2 may be linked. I went to have dinner when the servers Derped and were hacked so wasn't affected much by that at all.I did, later when the servers were back up, pick up items from dead bodies near the hospital in chenogorsk. I'm a fair player and I didn't feel I earned these items, the hack was bad enough for people without me being a dick and taking items that aren't mine. so I waited on top of the apartments to see if anyone would come for the gear (un-armed) and after 30 mins decided that if I wasn't gonna take some of the gear someone else would take it anyway, and had already died 2 times yesterday day loosing a lot of gear so wasn't in the mood to run off to northwest/stary AGAIN! I took some gear and went to hide behind a wall to log off.since this morning I keep getting this message "You were kicked off the game"Can someone please help?
terrvik 2409 Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) Playing through Steam? Steam updated to 1.62 and some people have had some trouble with it. There are some threads about in in the Troubleshoot section you could check out. :) Edited July 25, 2012 by Terrorviktor
adam3143 3 Posted July 25, 2012 I had the exact same problem. Go into your steam library and right click arma II, click properties and goto the local files tab. Click on verify integrity of game cache and it should find 1 or 2 files that it will need to download (it will DL them automatically). Afterwards do the same thing for arma II OA. After each has downloaded the needed files run them on their own to complete the first time setup, after that you should be able to go back to playing DayZ as you did before.Almost forgot, I also reinstalled the newest beta patch after I did this process just to be safe

Is there a way to see what version of the beta patch you're actually running, just to be sure in case something like this happens again? I have the same pro blem. Tried to log on, couldn't. Checked the arma beta page, looked at the version, and it was the same one I downloaded myself and installed a few days ago, so I figured I had the newest.Came to work, checked the forums, and found out about the steam update. Would have assumed I had the latest version otherwise. I will try the steam integrity check tonight and then reapply the beta patch afterwards and see if that works.
