Uhh... If you mean throw as in literally throw it, you cycle through what you wish to use by pressing the 'F' button - left-clicking will either discharge your weapon, swing your weapon or throw the supplied object.

If you meant drop the item - go into your gear and find the object you wish to leave behind. Click on the arrow facing LEFT.

4 tin cans = dead zombie. I respawned recently and just server-hopped (don't hurt me >.<) until I had an inventory full of tin cans then just ran around Kamenka biffing cans at zeds.

Actually an awesome idea, but it'd need an entire crafting UI added (I actually don't know if it would, never cooked meat before) and I'm not sure how well the ArmA II engine would support it/how easily Rocket could add it.
